The Film
- Diagnosed by the Audience: It's never stated outright what condition Andrew has which makes him act so creepy and "off".
- SugarWiki.Moment Of Awesome: The ending.
- Moral Event Horizon: Pope leering over a sleeping Nicky and then carrying her away, only to be disturbed by Joshua? Horrible. Encouraging a distraught Nicky to take an arm full of heroin after being dumped by Joshua (after it becomes apparent Pope suspected her of ratting to the police)? Reprehensible. Then taking a skagged-out Nicky and violently interrogating her, before strangling her and dumping the body in an alleyway? Utterly fucking unforgivable.
- Retroactive Recognition: For western audiences:
- Joel Edgerton became far more recognizable after signing up for projects such as Warrior, Zero Dark Thirty, The Great Gatsby, and Black Mass.
- Ben Mendelsohn went on to appear in The Dark Knight Rises, before gaining greater recognition for his performance in Bloodline (2015). He subsequently became a go-to Hollywood villain with his performances in Rogue One, Ready Player One, Robin Hood (2018) and Cyrano, as well as doing a stint in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
- Sullivan Stapleton went on to star in several seasons of Strike Back and was the lead in Blindspot.
The Series
- Catharsis Factor: After Derran spent the past episode harassing and threatening J for finding out he's secretly gay, seeing Pope rip into him for nearly botching the safe job and praising J at his expense for cutting the non-live wire in the way of their exit, saving the mission is immensely satisfying. Also doubles as a Funny Moment.Pope: Say thank you J, for actually having some balls!
- Heartwarming Moment: When Baz hits J, Derran and Craig immediately leap to their nephews defense.
- The Woobie: Jay certainly fits the bill as his uncles are terrifying and abuse him left and right.
- Pope is actually more sympathetic here even as he's no less dangerous.
