  • Alternative Character Interpretation:
    • Is Bertia actually similar to Heronia in her attempts to manipulate the plot? Is she just as ignorant and selfish by pushing Cecil and Heronia together despite his refusal to comply? Or does her less viciously manipulative personality and natural klutziness just make her attempts more endearing in comparison?
      • Chapters 25 and 26 of the manga reveal that in every route in which Heronia ends up with someone other than Cecil, something happens either to or because of Cecil and there is a war with the neighboring country. It’s specifically implied if not outright stated that Cecil has major issues that falling in love with the heroine in his route would have resolved, and Cecil himself was able to figure out what his flaws were in each of the other routes. Bertia knew this and was trying to lead things to the route that she knew would prevent a war but also allow Cecil to be happy. Her flaw in this regard seemed to mostly be in that she didn’t realize someone besides Heronia was capable of saving Cecil from his fate or that she already had.
