• Alternative Character Interpretation:
  • Sprig’s actions are most likely him trying to distract himself from the feeling of the Plantars leaving Anne when they go back to Amphibia. Additionally, "Hopping Mall" showed that he did have complex feelings about his absent parents, and with the Plantars having Happily Adopted Anne, it's clear he's also looking on her parents as Parental Substitute.
  • Mrs. Boonchuy scolding Anne when Sprig causes commotion outside of Thai Go can easily come across as Misplaced Retribution, but it can just as easily be seen as her wanting Anne to take responsibility for Sprig's behavior, since he's her close friend and she would know how to teach him proper etiquette for being a house guest.
