- One of the book's jokes is that, in 2015, Americans will embrace a concept called "Obeausity", in which Americans give up on reducing obesity and instead start to view it as beautiful. The New '10s would see the rise of the "Fat Acceptance" and "Healthy at Every Size" movements, which claimed that "all bodies are beautiful" but got pushback from those, including the medical community, who felt that they downplayed, ignored, or denied the health risks of obesity.
