• Alternate Character Interpretation: Luisa accepting Beatriz's love confession in the True Ending. Does she genuinely love Beatriz or is she doing it to spite Hector from beyond the grave?
• Esoteric Happy Ending: The True Ending of Tormented. Right after Adrian destroys Hector's ghost and ends up wounded in the process, he happily reunites with Camilo and Desiree and the three (transforming into their childhood selves) decide to live in the ruins of the Amatoria motel. Did Camilo and Desiree decided to stay for real or is Adrian hallucinating the whole thing after being fatally wounded by Hector?
• Jerkass Woobie: Hector definitely qualifies, considering his horribly abusive childhood and home situation. Unfortunately he loses all sympathy points when he starts raping Beatriz and murdering all her boyfriends out of jealousy. And more after he becomes a vengeful ghost in the sequel.
• The Woobie: Beatriz, whose brother has been raping her for years; and her mother wants her dead for the crime of receiving Hector's affections. And in the Normal Ending, Luisa kills her after falling for Teresa's manipulations.
