  • Memetic Mutation: The comment sections for Cody's review of Harry Turtledove's Atlantis series make fun of how the Radcliff family is always the main contributor to major historical events by comparing them to the Joestar family. One of the sections of the video is even named "Rad Rad Bizarre Adventure."
  • Nightmare Fuel:
    • His Alternate-History Nazi Victory world is terrifying to read about: the Holocaust is much worse, with millions more Slavs being exterminated and enslaved.
    • The Morgenthau Plan video is horrifying. Not only would millions of Germans be starved to death, but the Nazis and their worldview would also be vindicated in the eyes of the Germans.
    • "What if Big Bird Exploded in the Challenger Disaster?" As if the Challenger Disaster wasn't bad enough, imagine tuning in to watch Big Bird dying in a fiery explosion.
  • Tear Jerker:
    • "The Election That Ruined Everything (And If It Never Happened)" explores if Theodore Roosevelt, not Woodrow Wilson, had been elected President in 1912, and boy, its tone is melancholy. Cody argues that Woodrow Wilson was an arrogant hypocrite whose mismanagement and late response to World War I set the stage for the rise of communism, fascism, World War II, the Cold War, and The War on Terror. By contrast, had Teddy Roosevelt been in charge, many of these horrors might not have happened because of Roosevelt's competence and realistic view of the world.note  Cody laments the better 20th century that could've existed had Teddy Roosevelt been in charge at that crucial moment. note
    • "What if Big Bird Exploded in the Challenger Disaster?" The title speaks for itself, but it's somehow worse than that. Due to a combination of the way Muppets are treated (both in their own canon and in real life) like real people and celebrities as opposed to mere puppets, as well as Caroll Spinney's iconic performance as Big Bird and just basic tact, Jim Henson would have no choice but to essentially declare Big Bird Killed Off for Real in Sesame Street proper.
    • “What if the Communists Lost the Chinese Civil War?” is also pretty depressing, as by the end Cody firmly believes that democracy is simply impossible in mainland China no matter how much history is changed, and all of China’s current problems would be the same in either case.
    • “The Decision That Ruined The Middle East” which covers the Sykes Picot agreement. Every conflict in the modern Middle East can be traced back to Britain and France screwing over the Arabs by promising them a unified homeland if they rebelled against the Ottomans only to go behind their back and carve up the Middle East’s borders. The rise of dictators like Assad and Saddam, the Israel/Palestine conflict, the rise of Islamic extremism, ethnic groups like the Kurds being denied a state for themselves, all happened because of the decision of two long dead empires. Cody goes on to state that we’re in the darkest timeline for the region.
