- Hilarious in Hindsight: "Mailbox Arson"; George became a fireman after the band broke up.
- Narm Charm: "Boiled Frogs" has George bellowing "POOR LITTLE TIN MAN!!!!". It's both as giggle-worthy as it sounds, and sad given the meaning of the song about a man being cheated out of a pension—and in general, the waste of youth upon soul-crushing, dead-end jobs/pursuits.
- Nightmare Fuel: The Canadian cover art◊ for Crisis shows a man with two extremely frostbitten hands. This is an actual reference photograph of a victim from the 1977 Great Lakes Blizzard, which is just as nightmarish reading.
- The title track itself is worth mentioning too. The song's main guitar riff is downright unsettling. The lyrics are about said blizzard, and George's screaming is far more menacing than it usually sounds. There's even a section where the song cuts out for a few seconds to nothing but complete silence before George comes back in, screaming. And the lyrics?
There's nothing that you can doThe sky is going to crush you.
