  • Awesome Music: Returning from Genji Tsuushin Agedama is composer Toshihiko Sahashi, who alongside fellow composer Osamu Tezuka (not the one you're thinking of), provides whimsical, silly, and harmonic background tunes.
    • "Kimi Iro Omoi", the opening song, especially the original version done by SMAP.
    • Also the ending songs, notably "Youkoso Magical School He," the third ending song.
    • Also, the transformation theme is pretty good — it has a definitive feel to it that allows the viewer to know that the villain's number is up.
  • Cult Classic: Aside from the Philippines, it's a cult hit in other territories.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: One of the few villains who has any fanart is Dark Princess, a Dark Magical Girl version of Magical Princess from Episode 45, largely due to the concept of her and her putting up a better fight than most against Magical Princess.
  • Germans Love David Hasselhoff: The anime is big in the Philippines where it aired on several networks starting from 1999, and getting added on to other channels in 2007. In fact, that's pretty much where most of the fanbase for this anime comes from! There's a reason why it's still talked about after all these years there. Even the entirety of the Filipino dub is uploaded and shown on Facebook, of all websites.
  • I Am Not Shazam: Lots of people tend to mix up Chacha's alter ego's name with her By the Power of Grayskull! phrase, leading to fans erroneously calling her "Magical Princess Holy Up" or "Holy Up" rather than just "Magical Princess". The "Holy Up" part is basically the equivalent of Sailor Moon's "Make Up" in "Moon Prism Power, Make Up".
  • Heartwarming Moment: Chacha’s reunion with her family after finally defeating Daimaou.
  • Moment of Awesome: Chacha finally destroying Daimaou in Episode 50.
  • Values Dissonance: Doris's depiction, a Creepy Crossdresser who seeks to attract Seravy, and Seravy's resulting blanket dislike of crossdressers. This is definitely NOT a depiction anybody would like nowadays for being very grossly transphobic.
