- Awesome Music:
- Aero the Acro-Bat: The Title Theme and First Level, take the Circus theme we all know, add some Rock to it and we get this.
- Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel has a soundtrack straight out of an 80s action movie.
- Best Level Ever: Factory Stage 3 in Zero has you shoot down a boss while flying through the factory, before crashing through the roof straight into another fight with Le Sheets on a massive electricity tower all while this music plays.
- Demonic Spiders: The evil clowns with Spikes of Villainy from the first game. They're fast, can block multiple attacks in a row and throw bouncing projectiles. Only an extremely well-timed dash or star throw can dispose of these bastards.
- Ensemble Dark Horse: Zero, though it does help that he's completely abandoned Edgar Ektor by the end of his spin-off.
- Goddamned Bats: From the Zero spin-off, the lumberjacks in the forest level and the security guards in the paper factory.
- More Popular Spin-Off: It's not uncommon for reviews to say the main Aero games are simply okay at best, while Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel is considered, at the very least, a pretty good game.
- That One Level:
- Every level that involves clearing out star platforms in the first game, aside from the very first one. They're long, have multiple pathways and confusing layouts.
- The Forest in Zero will give players who haven't learnt the controls a lot of trouble with its two mandatory dive challenges.
