  • Broken Base: IFT or IIFT? The Infantry Fire Table (IFT) is the table on which attacks are resolved by cross-referencing the attack's firepower with a dice roll. Firepower factors are tabulated, and then rounded down to pre-selected figures on the chart, which only has listings for 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24 and 36 firepower factors. Excess firepower is lost during the rounding process. The Incremental Infantry Fire Table (IIFT) was designed as an unofficial alternative (and later incorporated into the 2nd edition rule book as an optional rule), having a column for every even number up to 36 (in other words, no rounding down). The IIFT is contentious as there is a belief that concealment is stripped away more quickly from hidden units when additional firepower previously lost in the combat calculations are actually used.
  • Demonic Spiders: A number of these depending on the time frame of individual scenarios. In 1941, Germans might consider the KV or T-34 as this. In 1944, the PzKpfw V "Panther" when facing American or British troops - it is fast, heavily armoured (to the point of being impervious to anything but a critical hit when hit on the front facing), and has a gun that can cut through any Allied tank in any facing and at any range.
