- Awesome Art: The Stop Motion segments (mostly done with paper cut-outs, though the one for "The Rutabaga Rag" uses fruits and vegetables) are all fairly impressive, standing on par with the typically impressive 2D Disney animation of the time.
- Awesome Music: Arguably, The Sherman Brothers did some of their best work for this very cartoon, further amplified by the arrangements done by Tutti Camaratta, who also conducted.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: The short, red-haired singer in "Puppy Love Is Here To Stay" looks a lot like Dexter in a suit.
- Values Dissonance: The last two songs fall pretty hard into this. One of them is about a Chinese baker who, while otherwise portrayed positively, falls hard into several racist Asian stereotypes; the other is about a romance between a teenage boy and a ten-year-old girl (granted, the boy is stated to be a relatively young teen at fourteen, but it's still unsettling). Obviously, neither of these songs would be written today.
