They sail across the ocean from Jamaica to Penzance.
But they don't want gold, and they don't want treasuuuuuuuuuuure...
They only want your pants.
Pants in the poopdeck, pants in the hole,
pants in the chest where there they should be gold,
pants in the crow's nest, pants at sea,
and a big pair of pants where the sail should be.

Those Scurvy Rascals is an animated series by Blue-Zoo Productions.

The show follows the adventures of three pirates who live on a ship in the sea. There's tiny Shark Bait, fat Smelly Pete, and the tall and thin Sissy LePoop (renamed Jolly Roger in other countries). Unlike most pirates, these three are not all that interested in shiny baubles or gold coins. To them, the greatest treasure out there is underwear.

That's right, these three are underwear collectors. They LOVE underwear, to the point that they even have a huge pair of underwear as their sails. So of course, when they finish their latest adventure, it's considered a success when they come home with all the underwear they can want.

The series was released in May 2005, and ran until 2006. The pilot was aired as apart of the first Nicktoons Film Festival several other shorts airing as commercial breaks on Nicktoons Network.

Those Scurvy Rascals contains examples of:

  • All-CGI Cartoon: The cartoon is animated in CGI.
  • Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: Shark Bait's mother proves to be this when she visits. At the end, it's implied Smelly Pete's mother is this as well, since when they see her approaching the ship, their first instinct is to sail away in fear.
  • Anachronism Stew: The pirates are shown watching TV in one episode, and playing a video game in another. This is in spite of the fact they look like they belong in the golden age of piracy.
  • Big, Thin, Short Trio: Smelly Pete is the big one, Sissy LePoop is the thin one, and Shark Bait is the small one.
  • Gag Nose: Shark Bait and Sissy LePoop have HUGE noses.
  • Hook Hand: Shark Bait has a HUGE one.
  • The Noseless: Smelly Pete doesn't seem to have a nose, just the nostril holes.
  • Pirate: Naturally, as the protagonists are pirates.
  • Pirate Parrot: The pirates have one with a huge beak.
  • Speaking Simlish: The whole cast speaks in utter gibberish, occasionally with some vague word in there to contextualize. The only exception is the island tribe of old men, who start conversing with each other in perfect English once the pirates are gone.
