Unlike the Hanna-Barbera version, which depicted a somewhat older Richie closer to adolescence, this revival series was more faithful to the comics, as Richie appeared in his original form as a younger child in his tuxedo and shorts.

- Alliterative Name: Richie Rich, Gloria Glad, Freckles Friendly, and Mayda Munny.
- The Cameo: Casper the Friendly Ghost makes a brief appearance in the episode, The Love Potion.
- Camping Episode: Roughin' It has Richie and his parents take a camping trip to explore the uncharted parts of the Rich estate.
- Circus Episode: One episode had Richie and his friends help a ring master save his circus by performing in various circus acts.
- Demoted to Extra: Irona the Robot Maid was rarely seen in this series; Only appearing in three episodes.
- Hiccup Hijinks: Nothing to Hiccup At involves Richie trying figure out a way to cure Peewee of his hiccups. One attempt was using Professor Keenbean's Hiccup Stopper machine. Unfortunately, it didn't work. By the end of the episode, it was revealed that Peewee's hiccups was caused by drinking Professor Keenbean's experimental banana soda.
- Love Potion: In the self-titled episode, Mayda Munny buys a love potion from a fortune teller so that Richie would be in love with her instead of Gloria at a fancy cotillion. Mayda's plan backfired when she poured the potion into a punch bowl, which led to all the other party guest drinking it and fell for her instead.
- Time Travel Episode: Back In The Saddle involves Richie and Gloria being sent back in time to the old west. Where they meet Richie's ancestors, Thomas and Alba Rich.
