Marcianos vs. Mexicanos (in English: Martians vs. Mexicans) is a 2018 Mexican animated sci-fi comedy film produced, written, and directed by Gabriel Riva Palacio Alatriste and Rodolfo Riva Palacio Alatriste.

The film features the voices of Adal Ramones (El Chacas), Martha Higareda (La Zafiro), Omar Chaparro (Martian King), Angelica Vale (La Tlacoyito), Eduardo Manzano (Don Calcáneo), and Jaime Maussan (As Himself). Produced by Huevocartoon Producciones (best known for the Huevos franchise), it is the company's first original (not part of the Huevocartoons series) project as it features an entirely human cast and an original story, in contrast to the company's previous productions. The film is aimed for a teenage audience.

A Mexican family, the Reyes, as well as their friends, Mirrey and Nene, are able to repel an alien invasion on their town, which gets the attention of NASA to recruit them in a mission to Mars in order to stop the army of Martians from conquering Earth.

Definitively not to be confused with Stalin vs. Martians.

This work provides these tropes:

  • Angry White Man: El General undervalue the Mexicans, 90% of the movie screams, even orders to destroy Cuba.
  • Art-Style Dissonance: The film's extremely raunchy humor heavily contrasts with its art style that looks reminiscent of Soviet cartoons.
  • Asian Buck Teeth: El Chino has a pair.
  • Big Bad: The Martian King, as he wants to take over the Earth.
  • Can Only Move the Eyes: Characters frozen in place by the Martian's plasma can still fart.
  • Checkvok Gun: After stoping the Martians, one of the Reyes thought of using the Laser to at least destroy a planet (one that's insignificant towards the solar system), that planet being Saturn, and just so happens that the Martian King HAD allies in there as well...
  • Child Prodigy: La Niña, probably no more than 10 years, discovered the location of the Area 51 and hack the martians system, although it could also be because it is Only Sane Man of his family, to a lesser extent El Chino.
  • Cyclops: Jacinto has one eye.
  • Extra Eyes: The Martians are represented as pink gelatin blobs with three eyes.
  • Fartillery: This is portrayed as one of the skills Mexicanos have against the Marcianos. This is used to free people zapped frozen by the Marcianos.
    • In one scene, the "finger pull" joke was utilized when El Cubano pulls El Frijol’s finger, which lets a large fart cloud rip and frees the zapped people in the area of said cloud.
    • Another scene shows El Chacas farting on a zapped Jaime Maussan, freeing him from the pink plasma.
    • In a later scene, the Reyes family Andre their friends chosen by NASA free themselves from the pink plasma that they were zapped frozen in.
  • Fight Unseen / Curb-Stomp Battle: When the Reyes family finally managed to get into Mars, they seen to be walking ready to fight agaisnt the martians... until the movie freezes, leading one of the cast to tell the viewers that he's going to fix it so it can continue. He does manages to fix, but he had to cut off some bits of it so it can work. When resuming the movie, it's seems that the Martians manage to defeat the Reyes with ease as they lead them towards their prison.
  • Gasshole: El Arroz and El Frijol are two rather flatulent sons of La Zafiro. One scene involves El Cubano pulling El Frijol’s finger.
  • Hilariously Abusive Childhood
  • Hellhole Prison: In one scene, the characters where put in a prison located in the Martians hangar. Where all the cells are covered in plasma being used as a door and there's nohing there rather than seating.
  • Lovable Nerd: of course El Nerd.
  • Multi Boobage: Lola and the female Martians that the Martian king that keep him company have three boobs to go along with their three eyes.
  • National Stereotypes: Basically every Mexican stereotype, good AND bad, is used as a weapon.
  • Non-Mammal Mammaries: The female Martians have a three boob variant of this trope.
  • Older Than They Look: El Nerd is 30 years old, but he looks like a teenager.
  • Roger Rabbit Effect: Jaime Maussan appears in live action form as his real self in an animated movie.
  • Spicy Latina: Zafiro mainly, to a lesser extent Joselyn, which is cataloged as Whitexican.
  • Stereotypes of Chinese People: El Chino.
  • Uncle Tomfoolery: El Cubano, a stereotypical black boy who serves as comedic relief in some scenes.
  • Visible Odor: Farts are represented by yellow green clouds.
  • Vocal Dissonance: La Niña has a male voice (Gabriel Rivapalacios)
