Little Charmers is a Canadian preschool-aimed All-CGI Cartoon co-produced between the world-famous Nelvana studio and Spin Master Entertainment for Treehouse TV.

The show follows three young enchantresses-in-training named Hazel, Lavender, and Posie, who explore and have adventures as they learn about casting charms and hexes, as well as important lessons about friendship and the like.

A series oriented at very young girls, Little Charmers ran for 57 episodes over 2 seasons between 2015 and 2017, premiering on Nick Jr. in the United States.

Tropes of the series:

  • Ambiguously Brown: Lavender has olive skin, but her ethnicity is never specified.
  • Animal-Eared Headband: Hazel wears a hat with cat ears.
  • Anthropomorphic Food: The titular character of "The Gingerbread Boy", who is trying to not be eaten.
  • Band Episode: In "Cluck Stars", the Charmers create a band called Rainbow Sparkle to enter the talent show, but their magic causes them to cluck like chickens.
  • Beehive Hairdo: In "Hairy Ways", Posie sports a beehive as tall as her body, though she's constantly struggling to keep her balance throughout the episode while trying not to fall over.
  • Bewitched Amphibians: "Prince Not So Charming" has the Charmers finding a prince that used to be a frog, and they have to get him to stay a human forever.
  • Cats Are Snarkers: Seven is the most phlegmatic of all the pets, not liking corny moments or songs.
  • Clip Show: It has several episodes like "Magic of Charmville" which is 95% clips. It gets especially weird when they air this prior to some of the episodes the clips are from.
  • Cute Kitten: Seven may be a snarker, but he still is a cute and caring cat.
  • Cute Witch: Hazel, Lavender, and Posie are adorable young mages.
  • Dance Sensation: "A Charming Fad" features a dance craze called the Goblin Gallop. The characters are invited to a flash mob to do that dance, but Posie would rather do her own thing.
  • Delightful Dragon: Lavender's familiar Flare is a playful little dragon.
  • Dumb Blonde: Posie, who is blonde, is easily distracted.
  • Familiar: Each of the Charmers have magical pets. Hazel has a cat named Seven, Lavender has a dragon named Flare, and Posie has an owl named Treble.
  • The Fashionista: Lavender is a Potionista, which means she is talented with potions and fashion.
  • Floral Theme Naming: Hazel is named after the hazel tree, and Posie and Lavender are named after flowers. Additionally, Posie has siblings also named after plants, Parsley and Thistle.
  • "Freaky Friday" Flip: In "Switcheroo", Hazel accidentally switches bodies with her mom. The intent was for her mom to become a kid so she can have a day off.
  • Flying Broomstick: All of the Charmers use broomsticks to fly. These broomsticks seemingly have a mind of their own.
  • "Groundhog Day" Loop: "A Charming Do Over" has Hazel casting a spell to repeat a day at a magic carnival in an attempt to win a crystal ball, which repeats until the other Charmers get sick of it.
  • Hiccup Hijinks: The series has an interesting take on this with "The Switch Ups". It starts with Hazel getting the hiccups, and she tries getting her friends' help to stop them. She eventually tries a magical spell, but she hiccups during it, and gets the switch ups (where people switch forms with each hiccup). It spreads to her friends. They're eventually cured thanks to Hazel's dad scaring them with a monster mask. Then he gets hiccups.
  • Inept Mage: The main three, especially Hazel, are still learning magic and more often than not, cause problems with it.
  • Magic Music: Posie is a 'spellerina', which means she can play music to create magic. Her wand also functions as a flute.
  • Meaningful Name:
    • Flare's name has a double meaning; a sudden brief burst of a flame (because she's a fire-breathing dragon) and it is a homophone to flair, which means stylish, perfect for the pet of a fashionista.
    • Treble's name means a high music note, corresponding to Posie having Magic Music.
    • Seven, as in 'lucky number seven' and the seven stripes on his body.
  • Person as Verb: Hazel becomes so infamous for her magical mishaps, that 'Hazeled' became a verb meaning just that.
  • Premiseville: The characters live at Charmville.
  • Smart Animal, Average Human: Seven is much smarter than Hazel. He tries to warn Hazel about not causing trouble, which she does not listen to.
  • The Smart Girl: Besides fashion, Lavender also loves science and is generally the most sensible of the trio.
  • Trend Aesop: In "A Charming Fad", Posie doesn't want to do the Goblin Gallop and would rather do her own dance, but Hazel and Lavender try to have her learn anyways. Hazel charms her socks to learn that dance, but things go awry and Posie is only set free when she does her own dance, the Posie Pop. Everyone learns that you don't have to go along with the latest fad, and it's okay to do your own thing.
  • You Mean "Xmas": Valentine's Day is called "Charmy Hearts Day".
