BRING US YOUR LEADER
Elio is a 2025 animated science fiction comedy film produced by Pixar as their 29th feature production and directed by Adrian Molina (Coco). It features the voice talents of Yonas Kibreab, America Ferrera, Jameela Jamil, and Brad Garrett.
The film follows a young boy who is mistaken for the leader of the human race and is transported to an alien world called the Communiverse to represent Earth in a trial. The film will release on June 13, 2025.

- Alien Abduction: As shown in the teaser, poor Elio is sucked into an alien spacecraft after being mistaken for Earth’s leader.
- Big "NO!": As Elio is being beamed up into the spaceship in the teaser. Though it's subverted, as he yells 'NO THANK YOU!'
- Galactic Superpower: Introduced in the trailer is the United Advanced Species of the Universe; a large governing body composed of the leaders of various alien planets.
- Heroic Comedic Sociopath: In the trailer, Grigon mentions having killed his mother at birth. The moment is played for laughs.
- Matricide: At the end of the teaser, Grigon mentions to Elio that he ate his mother. It’s not even a thing his species does! It was very shocking to everyone.
- Meaningful Name: Elio Solis is a boy starring in a space-themed movie, whose name and surname both mean "sun", the former derived from the Greek sun god Helios and the latter from "sol", the Latin translation of the word.
- Military Brat: The trailer sees Elio attempt to contact his mother, a soldier working on the military base that receives the aliens’ message.
- Mistaken for Badass: The whole plot of the trailer is how Elio is assumed to be the leader of Earth. And Elio plays into that role after learning that confessing the truth will result in him being subjected to memory wipe.
- Not Now, Kiddo: The trailer has Elio attempting to contact his mother, only to be blown off because she's busy dealing with the alien message, with his mother not finding out until it's too late that Elio is on the planet she's making contact with.
- Oh, Crap!: Elio’s reaction in the teaser when the aliens tell him he will be representing Earth in a trial.
- Running Gag: When Elio is first asked the name of his homeworld in the teaser, he is lost for words and answers "Uh... Earth". The aliens naturally assume the "Uh" is part of the name and keep referring to Earth as such.
- Scout-Out: In the teaser, Elio is wearing a scouting uniform complete with sash when he is abducted.
- Take Me to Your Leader: A variation. In the teaser, an Earth military base receives an alien message stating BRING US YOUR LEADER. When Elio, the kid of one of the soldiers on base, calls, he is mistaken for the leader and gets abducted.
- Tractor Beam: The aliens abduct Elio using a tractor beam.
