Darwin's Yearbook is a Spin-Off miniseries of The Amazing World of Gumball that premiered on December 2, 2019, on Cartoon Network, consisting of six episodes. It shows Darwin's experience in creating the Elmore Junior High yearbook at the request of Principal Brown.

This series provides examples of:

  • Accidental Misnaming: In his text to Darwin, Principal Brown clearly can't remember his name and simply calls him "Orange Watterson".
  • All for Nothing: Once he's finished the cover, Darwin tries to save it, but a fatal error on his computer erases everything, leaving him back at square one. He decides to just forget it and pass the job along to Gumball.
  • Behind the Black: At the end of the episode on Sarah, she's revealed to have been in the room with Darwin for an hour, to his horror.
  • Clip Show: It consists mostly of clips and images of episodes from the show, with the only new content being the computer and voice lines.
  • Dark Horse Victory: The last episode has Darwin and his friends deciding which of the teachers gets a spot on the yearbook cover. After finding all the choices lacking, they decide that the last slot should be reserved for Darwin himself, for all the hard work he put in to design the cover.
  • From the Ashes: It was announced less than 5 months after the original show ended.
  • It's All About Me: When Darwin asks Tobias for pictures of Clayton, Tobias instead talks about himself and how he should be on the cover.
  • Nonindicative Title: The episode on Clayton is actually more about Tobias.
  • Out of Focus:
    • Although Gumball is the main character in the main series, he does not have any important role here, and only appears in pictures and videos, as well as one line at the end.
    • Anais, Nicole and Richard even less; they barely appear even in the flashbacks, with Anais only having one line and Nicole and Richard having none at all.
  • Squee: In-Universe Lampshade Hanging; as Sarah writes the word on her text message to represent her trademark squeal, Darwin says "Oh, so that's how you write it."
  • Terrible Artist: Since Carrie is a ghost and can't photograph, she suggests Darwin draw a picture of her for the yearbook cover. The finished portrait is amateurish, and even he can't bear to look at it.
  • Voiceover Letter: Parodied with Principal Brown's text. After the voiceover is over, Carrie compliments Darwin on imitating Brown's voice perfectly.
