Will Vinton's Claymation Comedy of Horrors is a Stop Motion animated Halloween Special produced by Will Vinton and originally broadcast on CBS on May 29, 1991.

Wilshire Pig and his reluctant sidekick Sheldon Snail journey to the castle of Dr. Frankenswine to claim his monster and special formula. However, the castle is now the site of a massive jamboree for monsters, ghouls, and other spooky creatures. The two must navigate the castle and avoid being discovered by the monsters.

This special has examples of

  • Affably Evil: The Horsemen of the Apocalypse, are good-spirited guys compared to the other monsters, especially Famine who keeps Wilshire and Sheldon’s mortality a secret from the other monsters. The worst they do is just pull a few good pranks on Wilshire.
  • Bad Boss: Wilshire treats his workers like crap, being aggressive, insulting, and physically abusive to Sheldon.
  • Brick Joke: In the beginning, it's mentioned that if they search Frankenswine's Castle, they could find either the monster, or a tote bag. At the end, Sheldon finds the tote bag which Wilshire throws away in disgust. Too bad for him it had more of the elixir he was looking for.
  • Chekhov's Gunman: In the beginning, Wilshire is testing a carnival ride designed to shake loose change from its rider, and ends up sending his tester Vincent flying who-knows-where. Vincent returns at the end when Wilshire is about to go on a joyride with the now-giant monster, crashing into it and popping it like a balloon.
  • Fun with Homophones: When Wilshire asks the monster working the registration desk if she knew where the laboratory is and she gives him directions; Jump Cut to Wilshire in a public restroom.
    Wilshire: Lavatory. I hate Homophones
  • Halloween Special: One that takes an especially goofy look at various old school monsters.
  • Here We Go Again!: At the end of the special, the elixir falls on the cute teddy bear summoned by Wilshire... Who suddenly transforms into a vicious bear.
  • Horsemen of the Apocalypse: They are attending the party at Frankenswine's Castle. Wilshire meets Famine, who then introduces him to his business partners: Pestilence, War and Denture Stains.
  • Make My Monster Grow: This is what Dr. Frankenswine's elixer does; it causes the (very tiny) monster to grow in size. Wilshire adds so much that the monster outgrows and destroys the castle!
