Boys Night Out is a Barley Films Production 2D animated short film made in 2003. It is directed and produced by Bert Klein and Teddy Newton (who is recognizable for his work with Pixar). The idea for the short was originally conceived for the The Iron Giant as a joke.When Linberg's mother leaves for the night to attend to her Bible studies, Linberg's stepfather is left to look after the young boy. Where does he decide to take his underage son for the night? A strip club, of course! Hilarity Ensues when Linberg continuously sees things no kid his age should ever see.

The cartoon short contains examples of:
- Art-Style Dissonance: The short is smoothly animated and the stylized and relatively simplistic art direction is strongly reminiscent of the works of UPA. However, the short involves a man sneaking his underage stepson into a strip club.
- Blatant Lies: Father Jackson the priest claims that he is at the strip club to count all the sinners there. The piece of paper he holds up just shows the phone number of one of the female performers.
- Bouncer: A bouncer is in front of the strip club to make sure no one under the age of 21 gets in. Linberg's stepfather gets around this by giving the man $100. The bouncer can't refuse the offer and allows Linberg to enter the building.
- Dirty Old Monk: Father Jackson. He's a priest Linberg recognizes from his church who is enjoying himself a bit too much at the strip club.
- Dope Slap: Linberg's stepfather slaps Father Jackson when the latter gets a little too out of control, licking a statue designed like a naked woman's body.
- Dominatrix: One of the strippers is an aggressive-looking dominatrix in red spandex that lassos Linberg with her whip and bares her Scary Teeth at him before tossing him away.
- Hammerspace: The woman serving the alcoholic beverages turns around and suddenly has two drinks sitting on her butt cheeks.
- Harmful to Minors: All over the place. Linberg is exposed to half-naked women dancing for the pleasure of men and even drinks beverages far too potent for someone his age to drink.
- Horny Sailors: For some reason, most of the other men at the strip club are in sailor outfits. A group of them even fight for the possession of a performer's panties.
- Fanservice Extra: None of the strippers are important characters, but they sure leave one heck of an impression with their sex appeal.
- Flirtatious Smack on the Ass: When a stripper serves Linberg and his stepfather some drinks, the stepfather pays for them by licking some dollar bills and slapping them onto her butt. The woman lets out an amused laugh before walking away with the money sticking to her butt cheek.
- Impossible Hourglass Figure: Thanks to the cartoony art direction of the short, most of the woman in this short have thin waists, big boobs, and generous butts.
- Lecherous Licking: Father Jackson is passionately licking a statue of a naked woman's body.
- Losing Your Head: Linberg's reaction when the white-haired bombshell of a stripper makes her appearance at his table before he attaches his head back to his body.
- Male Gaze: EVERYWHERE. There are many shots focusing on the strippers' legs, butts, and breasts.
- Nipple and Dimed: Despite all the Fanservice on display, none of the strippers are shown with bare breasts. While they are shown topless, all of them wear pasties to cover their nipples.
- Long Pants: Linberg wears pants that blend into his feet.
- Scary Teeth: The dominatrix stripper that latches onto Linberg with her whip is designed with a mouth full of pointy teeth.
- Standard '50s Father: Very much Subverted. While Linberg's stepfather fits the archetype at first glance with his voice and design, he turns out to not be a very good role model for his stepson due to taking him to a strip club and allowing him to drink alcohol.
- Stocking Filler: Half of the strippers in the short wear stockings.
