The 39th Barbie movie, and the third to be a Netflix exclusive.
Barbie's going to be spending the summer in New York City, participating in a performing arts program—while there, she crosses paths with a girl from Brooklyn (one of the five NYC-boroughs) who just so happens to have the same first and last names as her. The two Barbies quickly become friends and soon discover that they share more than just the same name.

- Impossible Hourglass Figure: Surprisingly Averted. Barbie's build is very realistically proportioned.
- One-Steve Limit: Barbie Roberts from Malibu, California meets Barbie Roberts from Brooklyn (in NYC).
- Only Known by Their Nickname: So that they and others don't get confused with them have the same name, the two Barbies decide to go by "Malibu" and "Brooklyn" (the cities that they're from) to tell them apart.
