Der Postillon
is a satirical online newspaper launched in 2008 and can best be described as Germany's equivalent to The Onion, its symbol is a coach horn. Since 2014, there also exists a derivative news show "Postillon24" that's meanwhile been syndicated to public broadcasters and also airs on Extra 3 sometimes.

- When real news about a transfer of Minister of Chancellory Ronald Pofalla to Deutsche Bahn came up, Der Postillon just copied it and dated it to one day prior, fooling people into believing that mainstream media were fooled by Der Postillon.
- After Brazil losing 1-7 against Germany, Russian news sites were gullible enough to take the news "Bartender broke as he promised 10% off for every German goal against Brazil" at face value. Some followers argued that fun stops with the Russians when it comes to alcohol.
- Released to Elsewhere: "Timmy is happy that his dog is allowed to get to the rainbow land"
- Right for the Wrong Reasons: Invoked with "Millions of German to protest toll plans by doing motorcades tonight" was an article from July 8, 2014. The motorcades actually happened, but rather due to Germany winning 7-1 against Brazil at the FIFA World Cup.
- Running Gag: The stock character "Little Timmy (9)" exemplifies many tropes, often implying him getting bullying by his age mates and hated by his parents alike.
- Suspiciously Specific Denial: In "Galactic Empire desires to buy Death Star from German production"
- War On Straw: Man trying to see Ukraine Crisis objectively is Putin apologist and NATO war-mongerer at the same time
- Worst Aid: "American expert for nuclear security sent to Japan", advertisting Homer as the perfect man as nobody had lived though more meltdowns than him.
