concerning a high school student student named Ugly Girl, her BFF Sister-Person, and assorted other teenagers with highly descriptive names as they attempt to survive high school.
The characters are stick figures, recognizable by their individualized Wing Ding Eyes.
This series provides examples of:
- Alpha Bitch: "That stuck-up bitch"
- Art Evolution: In comparison to earlier comics the newer strips are much more colorful, more detailed, and smoother looking
- Camp Gay: They don't call him Queerboy for nothing.
- Coming-Out Story: Cynical Sis comes out of the closet to Queerboy and his boyfriend
- Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": No one except for Cynical's best friend Tilde has a give name outside of being Ugly Girl, Sister Person, Queerboy etc.
- Cast Of Snow Flakes: Each character even those who are just background each have a unique appearance.
- Dances and Balls: The school dance was the comics first major arc.
- Deadpan Snarker: Almost everyone but Ugly Girl and Cynical Sis take the cake.
- Girlish Pigtails: Ugly has these up until her Important Haircut
- Important Haircut: After the disaster that the dance Ugly cuts off her her Girlish Pigtails in now has short hair
- She Cleans Up Nicely: Ugly Girl
- Stalker with a Crush: Fatboy starts out as this
