Total Drama Kids is a Total Drama fancomic created by Deviantart user Kika-ila. It's pretty much about Exactly What It Says on the Tin - the teenage contestants of Total Drama as elementary-age children going to school together, except Chris is visiting their school to organize games for them. Despite their younger ages though, the kiddies' interactions mirror their teenage selves' behaviour in canon. The author also has plenty of other art featuring the characters.

You can read the first page of the comic here.

This fancomic contains examples of:

  • Abusive Parents: Scott's father is implied to be one.
  • Adaptational Backstory Change: Due to being able to attend school with all the other kids, canonical homeschoolers Ezekiel and Cameron are instead described as having overprotective parents who never let them leave the house except to go to school.
  • Adaptational Modesty: Obviously, the girls aren't going around in crop tops and short-shorts. Geoff has also buttoned his shirt.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Although still egotistical, Chris is much nicer and less sadistic than he is in the show, with his "challenges" being common children's games and being more chummy with the kids' teachers.
  • Adaptation Personality Change:
    • Rather than having Dissociative Identity Disorder, Mike is instead just a very imaginative kid who likes to pretend to be different characters.
    • Dawn is a gossipy chatterbox instead of a serene hippie. Her rivalry with Scott persists, but for a different reason.
  • Art Evolution: As the comics go on, the style starts to get dynamic with colors and shading.
  • Big Brother Bully: Jose to Alejandro, as per canon.
  • Bonding over Missing Parents: Played With, as it's Trent's grandfather and Gwen's dad.
  • Boys Have Cooties: Aside from her personal rivalry with Gwen, Heather exposes her crush because she thinks "crushes are stupid." Kristin warns her that she might have a crush one day and won't want people making fun of her for it. Incidentally, Alejandro transfers to their class the next day.
  • Cerebus Syndrome: The later pages start introducing some heavier stuff, such as kids having to cope with deaths in the family or being revealed to have abusive parents.
  • Genki Girl: Kid Izzy is every bit as hyper and energetic as teenage Izzy.
  • Kids Are Cruel: Heather reveals Gwen's crush on Trent to the rest of the class and bullies her for it.
  • Magic Feather: Ezekiel lets Cameron wear his touque in order to make him feel safe outside home.
  • Mythology Gag:
    • Kristin, the teacher for the first generation kids, is physically based on the original design for Bridgette. Likewise, the teacher for the second generation kids, Molly, is based on a character who was replaced by Dawn in the final version of Revenge of the Island.
    • Trent wears a t-shirt with a big number 9 on it.
    • The kids' parents are identical to the ones we see in canon.
    • Heather steals Gwen's sketchbook (which has drawings of her with Trent) and accuses her of putting red ants in her backpack, mirroring her actions in "Not Quite Famous".
    • Duncan stains his hair with green paint, giving him something similar to his teenage self's mohawk.
  • New Transfer Student: Alejandro and Sierra are introduced in this manner.
  • Ship Tease: Gwen/Trent, Geoff/Bridgette, Duncan/Courtney, and Alejandro/Heather.
  • Spinoff Babies: A fanmade example; the comic has the teenage characters of Total Drama Island, as well as World Tour and Revenge of the Island as little kids attending school together.
  • The Thing That Would Not Leave: Chris is still ostensibly a TV show host, but apparently has nothing better to do than entertain preschoolers. And good luck trying to tell him otherwise. (Commenters have suggested he might have feelings for the teacher, Kristin.)
  • Unlimited Wardrobe: Most of the kids change clothes when a day passes In-Universe, usually with a theme to keep them similar to their Iconic Outfits—Gwen wears dark blues, Trent wears greenish shirts, etc.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Tyler's fear of chickens pops up when the punishment for losing one of Chris' games is to pretend to be one.
Chris (to Kristin, who is comforting a crying Tyler): How was I supposed to know that child was afraid of chickens?!
