Left to right: Sirius Pickering, August Marlowe, Algernon Dossett, Percival Pierce, Ewart Jotts, Herbert Hiland Jr., Aldous Maycombe, Lewis Rocheford, Calvin Sharps, and the shadow of Loup Noir.

The Ten Tailors of Weston Court was a webcomic by Alena Harold, a Denser and Wackier prequel to The Wolf at Weston Court that ran from 2014 until it was discontinued in 2018. It opens by telling of Loup Noir's arrival in Weston Court and the events following it, before skipping ahead a few years to retell the opening chapter of The Wolf from the perspective of the other tailors. The remainder of the comic consists of a number of shorter, largely unrelated arcs which take place during this time skip.

It contains the following tropes:

  • Companion Cube: In this strip, Sharps has an orange on a leash.

  • Fantastic Racism: Part of the reason that several of the other tailors dislike Loup is that he's a wolfman.

  • Grumpy Old Man: Pickering is the oldest of the eponymous tailors, and often the grumpiest.

  • Hurricane of Puns: When Pickering describes rival tailor Loup Noir as "a very disagreeable fellow", Elgin responds with an impressive volley of tailor puns. Pickering is not amused.

  • Plot-Triggering Death: The death of Mr. East at the beginning of the comic allows a young Loup Noir to purchase his storefront and move into Weston Court.

  • Sweet Polly Oliver: Tailor August(a) Marlowe. Loup sees through her disguise, of course; even though none of the other tailors does.
