The alternate title is, Hoegwiro Chowolhaneun Daemadosa, Archmage Transcending Through Regression, and Archmage Who Transcends by Returning. It is based on a Web Novel by Hanbitnuri. The web comic is written by Hong Chang Ju. The art is by Kim Sim Yong.

Mikhail Walpurgis didn't feel qualified for the title of Hero, he let Seigfried be the hero. Unfortunately, Seigfried failed at being the hero and the army died at the hands of the Devil. In the end, Mikhail cast a spell and he found himself in the past. Now, he has another chance to raise an army and defeat the Devil.

This webcomic contains examples of the following tropes:

  • Even the Loving Hero Has Hated Ones: Mikhail is kind to everyone but every time he even thinks of Sigfried and how he failed, he went into a rage to the confusion of everyone around him.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: The remaining Hero group threw themselves at the Devil at the beginning of the webcomic to give Mikhail time to summon a meteor strike.
  • Magically-Binding Contract: When two wizards make a deal, they have to follow the terms of the deal or they would lose their magic.
  • Magic Missile Storm: Mikhail could fire multiple magic missiles and alter the paths at once with his experience.
  • Mass Teleportation: Mikhail teleported everyone to the Capital using magic.
  • Meteor-Summoning Attack: Mikhail summoned a meteor strike against the Devil but it only took off one of his horns.
  • Peggy Sue: Mikhail found himself twenty years in the past after dying at the hands of the Devil.
  • The Prophecy: In the first timeline, Cassandra predicted the Devil will attack the world. She was ignored until it was too late. In the second timeline, Mikhail is doing everything possible to convince people that Prophecy is real.
  • Refusal of the Call: In the first timeline, Mikhail refused the hero title and gave it to Seigfried much to his regret later on.
  • Resignations Not Accepted: Merdin the Butler gives Mikhail a Letter of Resignation in reaction to Mikhail challenging Viscount Nostra to a duel. Mikhail just burned the letter in response. Later on, Mikhail reached into his jacket for another resignation letter with Mikhail just ordering him not to get another one.
  • Set Right What Once Went Wrong: Mikhail traveled back in time and is now going to make it so that he will be the hero and save everyone from the Devil.
  • Spell Levels: The world's wizards have power levels based on mana circles. The more mana circles the wizard has, the more types of spells he can cast.
  • Superpowerful Genetics: Various bloodlines can produce various abilities. Mikhail's family is more for magic while other families have more aura-based powers.
  • Teleportation: Mikhail teleported his group immediately to the city.
  • Teleportation Sickness:
  • Younger Mentor, Older Disciple: Mikhail became Viscount Nostra's mentor after the wizard duel. Much to Viscount Nostra's discomfort.
