Stuffed is a webcomic about a pair of stuffed animals belonging to a young girl and the wacky hijinks they get into. It is drawn by Extended Play, and can be found on Webtoon here. Note that certain comic pages are gated behind a Patreon subscription, being "Bonus Extra Monthly" comics. You can support the comic on Patreon here.

In April of 2022, Deadline announced an animated series based on the comic was in the works, helmed by Penn Rocker, of Danger Mouse (2015) fame.

Stuffed contains examples of:

  • Ambiguously Brown: The girl, and by extension, her parents.
  • Art Evolution: Starting at page #120, the art-style shifts from a Calvin & Hobbes-esque style, to being more round and bouncy.
  • Aside Glance: Unicorn is a master of these.
  • Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: Dragon. "BALL!"
  • Cannot Tell Fiction from Reality: Dragon has some issues in this vein, initially refusing to believe when Unicorn tells him he's a toy and thus completely inanimate, and later on flirting with the cookie jar.
  • Captain Oblivious: Dragon is either completely unaware or willfully ignoring the vast amount of contempt and shade Unicorn throws his way.
  • Carnivore Confusion: Discussed. Dragon points out that he's a predator, and Unicorn is a prey animal, so he'll probably eat her at some point. He idly wonders if she Tastes Like Chicken. Ultimately, nothing will come of it, because they're both inanimate toys, and according to the creator, they both taste like polyester.
  • Cloud Cuckoolander: Dragon. Gryphon also qualifies, perhaps even moreso than Dragon.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Unicorn's method of coping with Dragon.
  • Didn't Think This Through: When the girl launches herself out her bedroom window, she successfully lands in the tree. Unfortunately, she didn't factor in how to get down from the tree.
    The girl: MOOOOOM!
  • The Ditz: Somewhat Justified with the girl, since she's a small child.
  • A Dog Named "Dog": A dragon named Dragon and a unicorn named Unicorn. Dragon immediately lampshades this as some kind of existential metacommentary, but Unicorn points out their owner is a little kid who isn't a the smartest bulb (the image is their owner using a shirt as a pair of Pants).
  • Drives Like Crazy: The girl is a terror on her Big Wheel.
  • Exact Words:
Mommy: I hope you aren't jumping up and down on your bed, young lady!
(The girl stops jumping and waits a couple seconds)
    The girl: I'm not, Mommy!
Dragon: Impressive use of verb tense manipulation.
Unicorn: She will excel at providing Congressional testimony.
  • The Faceless: Mommy and Daddy. Their heads are usually above the top of the frame, and when the framing doesn't allow for that their backs are to us, or their faces are obscured by text balloons or a Scenery Censor.
  • Genius Ditz: Dragon is a major Cloud Cuckoolander who occasionally drops a surprisingly insightful philosophical or psychological insight.
  • The Ghost: Eddie Anderson, an oft-mentioned, never-seen boy roughly the girl's age.
  • Gender-Blender Name: Kamoho the shark is female, but is named after a male Hawaiian deity.
  • Girls Love Stuffed Animals: Without a doubt. The girl is never far from her stuffed animal friends, Dragon and Unicorn.
  • Harmless Villain: Yeti, by virtue of being an inanimate stuffed toy.
  • Innocently Insensitive: Minotaur in this strip, towards Kamoho (the shark).
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Unicorn is crabby and sarcastic, but she really does love and care about her owner.
  • Literal-Minded: The girl. Little kids don't do metaphors well.
Daddy: You know, they say a watched pot never boils.
The girl: I'm not WATCHING any POTS! I'm LOOKING for SANTA!
    Daddy: I stand corrected.
  • Oh, My Gods!: Minotaur screaming "Hera help me!" as he's being thrown into a tree. Fitting, since he's a stuffed toy modeled after a creature from the Greek folklore.
  • Only Sane Man: Unicorn.
  • Pastiche: The art style brings to mind Calvin and Hobbes, fitting the subject matter of a small child and her stuffed animals. It even has the same sort of Art Shift when the girl has an Imagine Spot about dinosaurs.
  • Physical God: Downplayed, since she's a stuffed toy and not an actual divine being, but the girl's shark plushie is actually supposed to be Kāmohoaliʻi, a god from the Hawaiian pantheon. One recent strip even has the girl explicitly calling her "Kamoho".
  • Real Life Writes the Plot: Strip 218 is the beginning of a short arc that has the family staying home because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
  • Shared Universe: A certain retired Military Working Dog and adorable kitten live in the same neighborhood as The Girl.
  • Shout-Out:
    • The girl is a big fan of The Flash, owning a red shirt with a lightning bolt on it and loving to pretend she has Super-Speed when wearing it.
    • She also likes Star Wars and can sometimes be seen wearing Jedi robes and playing with a toy lightsaber.
    • The next-door neighbors appear to be the kids from The Family Circus.
    • During the "Plushies" arc, when Manticore wins the award for "Loudest", Yeti barges onto the stage to claim that he's the loudest of all time. Unicorn even lampshades it, quipping that she was waiting for "[a] Kanye moment".
  • Side Bet: Mommy and Daddy had one when (not if) Dragon would be launched through the girl's bedroom window. Mommy won.
  • Skyward Scream: Unicorn's horrified reaction to being left at the playground overnight with Dragon.
  • Straw Critic: Parodied. Unicorn finds her owner's crayon drawing of her family incredibly derivative and questions its fridge-worthiness.
  • Symbol Swearing: The spider that the girl releases outside so Mommy won't squish it. "It's so %#!@ cold out here!"
  • Techno Babble: Parodied when the girl comes home from a sci-fi movie marathon with her grandpa. It's far more Babble than Techno.
  • This Is Gonna Suck: The girl, being a small child, isn't the best judge of what's good for her toys. Unicorn is usually able to see what's coming but is powerless to do anything about it.
  • Touché: "Unnatural Selection" has Unicorn say this after The Girl makes bubbles from experimenting with chemicals.
  • Those Two Guys: Unicorn and Dragon, much to the former's chagrin. Gryphon and Manticore also frequently appear together.
  • Two Girls to a Team: Unicorn and Kamoho are the only female stuffed animals, aside from an unnamed mermaid.
  • Verbed Title: Stuffed is a webcomic about a pair of stuffed animals belonging to a young girl.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: Dragon and Unicorn. Most of the vitriol comes from Unicorn, but Dragon gets in a few good jabs of his own. They are, however, effectively inseparable, thanks to the girl taking them along everywhere she goes.
  • Washy Watchy: "Spin Cycle" is exactly this. The Girl is watching Dragon and Unicorn getting washed.
  • You Must Be This Tall to Ride: Inverted. The Girl's scheme to rent rides on her Big Wheel has a sign that reads "yu must be shorter then this lin to rid."
