Prey.
Sheet Ghost Man is a webcomic created by YOGB, following the Florida police as they investigate the brutal (and often humorous) murders committed by a serial killer dressed as a Bed Sheet Ghost. Part 1 of the comic began on November 14th 2022 and ended on October 30th 2023. It can be read here. Part 2 began on February 19th 2024 and remains ongoing.

Sheet Ghost Man contains examples of:

  • Antagonist Title
  • Anyone Can Die: Even with part 1 giving a lot of panel-space to the Sheet Ghost Man murders themselves, by the end of part 1 the Killer has eliminated most of the main cast, including Decoy Protagonist Elizabeth.
  • All for Nothing: The Investigation into the Sheet Ghost murders in part 1 ends up identifying the wrong suspect. The killer escapes justice after murdering several officers, including the head of the investigation.
  • Alternate History: Several scenes hint towards the series taking place following a civil war after which Florida seceded from the United States, including multiple flashbacks taking place during said war, of which the killer seems to be a veteran. He even displays a Republic of Florida Flag in his office in part 2
  • Archive Panic: The comic is hosted on twitter with a carrd page linking to the first 28 chapters. Part 2 is yet to be indexed.
  • Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: the Killer's bodycount includes several civilians, police and 500 million sperm.
  • Berserk Button: The Killer almost flies off the handle upon being questioned by a captive Elizabeth.
    • The police chief hates being interviewed.
  • Big Bad: The Sheet Ghost Man.
  • Black Comedy
  • Break the Cutie: Elizabeth, a detective investigating the Sheet Ghost murders ends up falling captive to the killer who breaks her down mentally and convinces her the Chief of Police killed her mother.
  • Decoy Protagonist: Elizabeth from part 1.
  • Electrified Bathtub: The first chapter ends right before the killer drops a toaster into a hot tub, killing two people.
  • Evil Teacher: Part 2 reveals the Killer to be a high school teacher.
  • For the Evulz: Sheet Ghost Man loves murdering. Chapter 3 shows him dancing through the halls of an apartment complex after bashing in his latest victim's skull. In the final chapter of part 1 he tells the dying Chief of Police that he did it all for kicks.
"I wanted to see if I could."
  • Gory Discretion Shot: Several. Most of the Sheet Ghost Man's murders happen off-panel or are obscured by scenery.
  • Kent Brockman News: Chapter 13, complete with a Smarmy Host.
  • Offended by an Enemy's Indifference: The Sheet Ghost Man (as a teacher) grills one of his students for poor performance and behavior in part 2. When she reacts with apathy, he implicitly threatens and later stalks her in his signature costume.
  • Police Are Useless: Downplayed. Though they do begin an investigation on the Sheet Ghost Man, he ends up escaping justice after murdering several officers. As of part 2, he's still working as a teacher and is yet to be caught.
  • Slasher Smile: Sheet Ghost Man when not wearing his costume.
  • Running Gag:
  • Shout-Out: Several to Weezer.
    • A man is killed while singing After Dark by Mr. Kitty
  • Shrug Take: In chapter 13, a reporter interviews several civilians for their thoughts on the recent Sheet Ghost Man murders including the man himself, who reacts with a shrug.
