Prozaic is a comic written and drawn by Shenjay and her boyfriend, Alex GarcĂa, as co-writer. It is written in both engish and spanish. Also in English on Tapastic.
Prozaic provides examples of the following tropes:
- An Odd Place to Sleep: Lisashows she can sleep standing up in the 2nd page.
- Bland-Name Product: Fakebucks, which includes fakecakes and fake-uccinos.
- Crush Blush:
- Lisa has this towards a customer.
- And if the blush is anything to guy by, Joey as well.
- Deal with the Devil: Joked with, Lisa slips in asking for her customer's first born soul as payment for the coffee.
- Headphones Equal Isolation: A happier example, on page 2.
- Hipster: Lisa claims she's not, but she might be.
- I Can't Do This by Myself: How Lisa feels about talking to her crush and needing her meds to help him.
- Jerkass:
- Meanface, slightly. When she's working as a barista.
- Lisa's crush can be considered this too.
- Long-Haired Pretty Boy: Lisa, again.
- No Medication for Me: Lisa feels that she doesn't need medication (possibly Prozac), to be able to talk to her crush. Ends up taking it later due to failure.
- Oral Fixation: Possibly Lisa's crush, he seems to like gum.
- Role-Playing Game: On page 6, the comic has the protagonist "select an item" like in a RPG.
- Shrinking Violet: Lisa seems to be this, at least around her crush.
- Shout-Out:
- Nuka-Cola
- Pokemon theme song
- Page 3 shows what appears to be an apple computer of some sort. On the same computer, a reference to Chrono Trigger can be seen.
- Fakebucks is a parody off of Starbucks.
- Toradora! first opening song.
- Socially Awkward Hero: Lisa seems to be this, at least around her crush.
