Webcomic / Original Character Shenanigans

Original Character Shenanigans (formerly known as Fast The Hedgehog Shenanigans) is a CYOA comic on Smack Jeeves by Djoing. The comic features "original" characters in a world where just about anything can happen, depending on the command selected by the author.

TROPES

• And Then John Was a Zombie: Plumber turns out to actually be Derplis in the first story.
• Animate Inanimate Object: Dave's Top Hat is sentient. It's also evil.
• Anyone Can Die: Given the random nature of this comic, it should be no surprise that characters frequently get killed.
• Big Bad Wannabe: Gunodalph comes to Papster to show how evil he is, but our heroes choose to focus more on Spacethulu and the Fish, who were raining down lasers onto the planet.
  • Later on, Gunodalph possesses the Waddlde Servants to do his bidding, only for him to get possessed by Dank Merter a page later.
• Big Damn Heroes
  • Mecha Fast and Fast The Hedgehog (as their superhero personas "Super Mecha" and "Fast Girl") defeat the Reaper Dumbus when he attacks Ghost Hunter and a few other characters.
  • Kerber saves Nopa, Lunk and Red Riding Shoe from the Fish when they attack.
• Caps Lock: All of the narration is written in this. Djoing also tells his readers to suggest commands in all caps.
• Came Back Wrong: After getting killed, the Dumbus comes back to life as Reaper Dumbus to reap the souls of the innocent.
• Card-Carrying Villain: The Evil Gold The Hedgehog
• Corrupt Cop: After combusting the planet ball with rings, the Fish attempt to frame and arrest Lunk, Nopa and Red Riding Shoe for it.
• Decoy Protagonist: Red Riding Shoe starts off as the protagonist of Story 2, but she quickly loses the focus when characters such as Lunk and Kerber show up.
• Demonic Possession: Dank Merter possesses Gunodalph right after the latter possesses the Waddlde Servants, thus starting a chain of possession.
• Deus ex Machina: Random solutions happen frequently.
• Downer Ending: Story 1 ends with 0 / The Perfect killing everyone and reigning over the world.
• The Dragon: Spacethulu has the Fish as servants to him.
• Eldritch Abomination: Spacethulu is essentially Cthulhu IN SPACE.
• Enemy Mine: While it isn't made clear if the two are exactly enemies, Edgy teams up with Fast to defeat The Evil Gold The Hedgehog.
• Emergency Transformation: Mecha Fast roboticizes Fast to make her immune to the fire going on at the place they are having there date.
• Everyone Dies: Story 1 ends with all the characters either dead or fused into 0.
• Expy: It's easier to count the characters who aren't based upon already established characters, that being Gold The Hedgehog, Dave, Dave's Top Hat, the Floating Bubble, and Dom and Carrot.
• Face–Heel Turn: Fast the Edgehog tries to attack Fast The Hedgehog after fusing with Edgy and Dr. Ovumguy's body parts.
• Fusion Dance:
  • Edgy's body parts fuse with Dr. Ovumguy's body parts and Fast The Edgehog at one point.
  • At the end of Story 1, all the characters fusing to become 0, who then goes One-Winged Angel to become "The Perfect".
  • The Socks in Story 2 fuse to form Spacethulu.
• The Man Behind the Man: Ghost Person is behind the Ghosts in Sidestory 1. He gets revealed on the second page and devoured by Omega Kid when he transforms into a stingray.
• Mooks: The Waddlde Servants are Mate Warrior's army of minions. They later become the minions of Gunodalph after he possesses them.
• My Future Self and Me: Fast The Hedgehog's future self, Fast The Edgehog, meets Fast when he gets thrown back in time by a random explosion.
• Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Dr. Moustache deactivates the G.U.M robots when they attack Fast and friends for nefarious purposes.
• Revenge:
  • Inverted, believe it or not. Dumbus, upon coming back as a Reaper, decides to reap the souls of the ones who didn't kill him.
  • Played Straight with Dave's Top Hat, who tries to get revenge in Story 2 due to not being the main character anymore.
• Omnicidal Maniac: Spacethulu and The Fish attempt to blow up Papster with lasers. Previously, the Fish blew up the Planet Ball with Rings.
• Robosexual: Fast ends up dating her robotic clone, Mecha Fast.
• Robot Me: Mecha Fast is a robot clone of Fast.
• Samus Is a Girl: Fast The Hedgehog turns out to be a girl in Story 1.
• Villainous Rescue: Cranium Child smashes the Fish with the moon, simply because he was mad that someone else was trying to destroy the planet.
