Webcomic / Nil Points

Go To

Nil Points is a fantasy webcomic that started some time before 7 Nov 2009, when Chapter 1: Page 14 was posted. The main characters are Pete Underton, a guy who has some very unreliable psychic powers; Edwina, an angry typist, and Monroe, who has a magic stick and travels between worlds to make sure nobody's misusing his magical powers. There's also a confused Belarusian with fire powers. And an umbrella of doom.

It is not a very serious comic.

This webcomic provides examples of:

  • Blessed with Suck: Anton has fire powers, but he's not fire resistant, so he just ends up burning himself.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Monroe is supposed to ensure that all is well in the multiverse and claims to be an expert, but he's a weirdo running around with a snooker cue and apparently unable to tie a necktie.
  • Dream Walker: The character known as The Dreamwalker.
  • Lethal Chef: Monroe, as said:
He's also rubbish at cooking, but likes making omelettes anyway.
  • Magic Wand: Monroe has a snooker cue that he claims is magic. Whether it's really magic or not remains to be seen.
  • Missing Mom: Edwina goes with Monroe, hoping to find her mum, who apparently has gone missing in another world.
  • The Multiverse: Sylvia Bancroft, Pete Underton's sister, went on an intedimensional journey.
  • Mundane Utility: Pete uses his psychic powers to predict the outcomes of football matches.
  • Painting the Medium: Anton speaks in cursive, which indicates that he has an accent.
  • Parasol of Pain: Edwina, which she uses to whack people.
  • Playing with Fire: Anton's fire powers, but without Required Secondary Powers of fire resistance.
  • Psychic Powers: Pete's powers include Precognition.
