Set years in the future, Steven and Connie are married and have a daughter named Rose. Shenanigans ensue as they and the Gems take care of her.

• All Animals Are Domesticated: In "Emperor Mama", Lion spends both comics in Blue Diamond's arms, being pet like he was a house cat. This seems to be how she sees him too.
  Blue Diamond: (to White Diamond) Don't you dare touch Fluffy.
• All Girls Like Ponies: Rose is a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.
• Berserk Button: The gems are not allowed to transform into either Steven or Connie while they are both away in front of Rose, lest she realize that they are both not there and burst into tears.
  • For everyone, it's Pearl trying to steal their time with Rose. It gets to the point that Jasper shoves Pearl up the nose of the temple statue because she tried to take a napping Rose away from her.
• Bishie Sparkle: Rose tends to do this when she is happy (which is most of the time).
• Black Comedy: When White Diamond gives Rose a colony, she reassures Blue, Yellow and Stevonnie that it is a planet devoid of life and that they are stressing out over nothing... because she eradicated the native life three days prior.
  White Diamond: D'aww! She is so cute! Let's conquer another planet, one full of life this time!
• Dead Guy Junior: Rose is named for her grandmother's alter-ego.
• Doting Grandparent: White Diamond seems to fill this role for Rose, even going so far as giving an undeveloped colony for Rose despite the fact that she is, you know, a baby.
• Even Evil Has Loved Ones: White Diamond is still a dictator who casually commits genocide, but she loves little Rose with all her heart.
• Fastball Special: One game Jasper likes to play with Rose is that she throws her high in the air for Lapis to catch.
• Hazy-Feel Turn:
  • Yellow and Blue Diamond both act upset at the idea of conquering a planet with life on it, but the former is enthusiastic about the idea of Rose growing up to be a conqueror like her and tells "Pink" (Stevonnie) not to "joke" about her making sanctuaries for Off-Colors, so it's unknown how much of a Heel–Face Turn they had in this comic.
  • This is Played for Laughs with White Diamond, who amusingly gives Rose control of their Combining Mecha and gives her a planet to conquer as a gift. It also bares mentioning that White Diamond is still in full-control of Pink Pearl in this continuity.
• Heel–Face Turn: Jasper has apparently undergone one between the time of the show and Rose's birth.
• Moment Killer: Everyone hugs Pearl when they find out she spends her time with little Rose having her play with a hologram of Rose Quartz...until Pearl asks if this means she can have everyone else's turns with her.
• Mundane Utility: Bismuth uses a spiked shield as a baby-changing station for Rose and a flail as a flyswatter.
• My Beloved Smother:
  • Pearl has developed maternal affection for Rose to an almost absurd degree, leading to everyone else (including Steven and Connie) having to fend her off whenever they want to spend time with her.
  • Used by Connie and Steven when by having her join Bismuth when it's turn to care for Rose.
• Noodle Incident: Not only has Amethyst transformed into Vilgax before, but Connie apparently asked her to stop using it after she broke at least two walls.
• Properly Paranoid: Pearl may be overly obsessed with Rose's safety, but she does have a point about Bismuth bringing weapons along when she babysits her and giving her a rattle that can turn into a mace.
• Rule of Cool: Why does Bismuth want to bring an ornate, multi-colored sword on a picnic with Rose and Pearl? Rose thinks she looks cool while holding it.
• Shout-Out: To entertain Rose, Amethyst shapeshifts into Vilgax, Korra, and Princess Celestia. Twilight Sparkle is seen on a backpack Pearl is packing for a trip out with Rose and Bismuth.
