"James and Jessica's Plotless Escapades" is a humor-based slice of life webcomic for all ages, created by a person under the name of DoodleMarq. The series centers around a pair of twin siblings named James and Jessica, and the various situations that they get involved in. Alongside them are their friends AJ, Sofia, and Victor and his little stepsister Adrienne.
The series was originally published from January 1st, 2020 to June 13th, 2021 on various websites. Currently, it is no longer available to read anywhere online.
"James and Jessica's Plotless Escapades" provides examples of:
- Dumb Blonde: While not a complete idiot, Sofia does tend to goof up from time to time, as well as not thinking things through properly.
- Occidental Otaku: Sofia is really into Japanese culture and can even speak some of the Japanese language.
- Parody: Jessica's favorite band is called “Red Night”, a parody of the punk rock band Green Day.
- Theme Twin Naming: The twins' names both start with the letter J.

- Another example of this trope can be seen in a different comic, in which the twins are seen playing a video game called “Super Butt-Kickers 5”, a parody of the Super Smash Bros. series.
- In another comic, James and Jessica rediscover their childhood game console, the Joy-System Duo (a parody of Sony's PlayStation 2), as well as a game called "Nose Bros." (a parody of Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros.).
- Parody Commercial: In one comic, the twins are seen watching a TV commercial for a fictional product called "Smart-Tarts".
