Hero School is a Massive Multiplayer Crossover webcomic created by lostatsea101
. It centers around the antics that various young heroes get up to at the titular school.
While it mostly consists of various one-shot comics (found here), there’s also an ongoing storyline, Breakdown, in which the heroes must stop Cronus from taking the powers of the school's most powerful residents (Jack Frost, both Avatars, and Percy Jackson) for an unknown goal. It can be read here.

Breakdown
- Art Evolution: As the series progresses, the art becomes less sketchy.
- Badass in Distress: Multiple characters over the course of the story.
- Big Bad: Cronus.
- Big Damn Heroes: In part 3, Danny, Jake and Randy manage to rescue Dick from the Joker.
- In part 8, Artemis arrives just in time to save the depowered heroes from Dagur.
- Brought Down to Normal: Aang, Korra, and Jack Frost. And since Jack's powers keep him immortal, the loss is slowly killing him.
- The villains' lair has a barrier which keeps those with superpowers from getting through. It doesn't stop the badass normals or those whose powers require a transformation, though the latter group ends up subject to this.
- Cliffhanger: Part 9 ends with Aang, Korra, and Jack sucked through green portals that came out of nowhere, leaving Pidge and Shiro alone to face Cronus (who has no idea where the portals came from).
- Deal with the Devil: Well, the Marvel version of Loki, but Korra makes a deal with him in order to save Jack's life.
- Genre Shift: Most of part 5 centers on Ichigo fighting some peculiar Hollows...and then we get to the Wham Shot.
- Heavy Sleeper: Rex manages to sleep through an explosion that woke everyone else up.
- Heroic BSoD: Aang, Korra, and Jack suffer this after their powers are taken from them.
- Late to the Tragedy: Hiro gets to the school after several students get kidnapped.
- Mind Rape: How Cronus takes Percy’s powers.
- Mood Whiplash: Part 5 starts out as what looks like a typical Bleach romp. Except it isn't; the "Hollows" are really the captured heroes. Cronus was just using Ichigo to harvest their powers.
- Mythology Gag: Upon being locked in a closet with the Joker himself lurking outside, Dick declares his situation to be "way too Jason Todd for [him]."
- One of the methods Cronus uses to break Percy is to force him to relive seeing Annabeth fall into Tartarus.
- Negated Moment of Awesome: When facing Cronus in part 9, Jim starts to power himself up...only to be shoved into a portal before he can finish. Yeah, it's safe to say that transforming ain't a free action.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Ichigo ends up doing Cronus' job for him.
- The Reveal: With Part 4, we find out that Cronus is leading the villains' alliance.
- Wham Shot: Part 5, page 10. The sword used by the Hollow that Ichigo had just defeated morphs into Jack's staff.
