Far from Home
(by Mighty Martian Studios) is a Science Fiction Web Comic about Lieutenant Waters and Mr. Eyak, in a patrol that happens on pirates.
An earlier version was about a boy on a space journey with his parents, and the Show Within a Show about the pirates and the patrol that found them.
It was abandoned by the author when he realized that he did not have enough plot to go with it, and he salvaged Lt. Waters and Mr. Eyak for a new webcomic, Parallels.
Far from Home provides examples of the following tropes:

- Captain's Log: Of the scout ship Calvin.

- Evil Is Not Well-Lit: The pirate captain keeps the office dark.
