Edd and his friends find out that there's no more Cola in the house, so they decide to go to the store to get some... only to find that Tord has, in the wake of "The End: Part 2," decided to take over the world and changed his name to "Red Leader." Our heroes must rise to the challenge and save the world.

On December 11, 2023, it was announced that the webcomic would officially be discontinued after six years and eight chapters.
Eddsworld: The Beginning and the Friend contains examples of:
- An Arm and a Leg: After the events of "The End," Tord's arm was amputated and replaced with the robotic one he picked up.
- Meaningful Rename: Tord now goes by "Red Leader," to show that he's abandoned his old life in favor of his new conqueror persona.
- Shout-Out: One of the female Red Army members in Chapter 6 looks suspiciously like Jessica Rabbit.
- Skewed Priorities: Edd doesn't think that taking over the United Kingdom, destroying orphanages, and kidnapping people are all that bad, but what really gets his attention is getting rid of all the Cola in the UK. Tom lampshades this.
- Those Two Guys: Paul and Patryk, Tord's Red Army companions seen during The End Part 2.
