Dragon Ball Rage is a Dragon Ball Super fan webcomic by Jairus Smith.
Upon learning Gohan once surpassed his father in strength during the Android Saga, Beerus has Cell resurrected and gives him a portion of his power to hurt Gohan and bring out his rage.
Season One was posted from March–April 2021. Season Two began in July 2021 and is on hiatus.
Tropes:
- Arch-Enemy: Cell continues to be one of Gohan's most personal foes, gleefully killing his wife and infant daughter as revenge for killing him during the Android Saga.
- Ax-Crazy: Cell, as usual, is a sadistic bastard who wants to make Gohan suffer as much as possible as revenge for his previous defeat. He gleefully attempts to blow up Earth, twice.
- Big Bad: Cell is the one attacking the Z-Fighters on Beerus' orders. While Beerus wants to bring out Gohan's rage to see if he is someone who could pose a challenge to him, Cell just wants revenge.
- Dragon with an Agenda: Cell doesn't care about Beerus' desire to unlock Gohan's hidden power, and is more focused on revenge against him for killing him.
- Even Evil Has Standards: Beerus was perfectly willing to let Vidal die to enrage Gohan, but the murder of Pan was something even he was disgusted by.
- Evil Is Petty: Cell murders Gohan's family and cruelly mocks the Z-Fighters afterwards. All for the crime of killing him when he was a vicious monster who tries to destroy Earth.
- Greater-Scope Villain: Beerus is the one who resurrected Cell, but is content to hang back and see what happens.
- Karma Houdini: Like in canon, the Z-Fighters basically have to suck it up and deal with what Beerus did due to his power level.
- Kick the Dog: Cell's murder of Pan and him mocking Gohan and the other Z-Fighters about him killing Gohan's family.
- Not So Stoic: Piccolo completely loses it when he learns Cell killed Pan.
- Omnicidal Maniac: Cell tries to blow up Earth twice during his battle with the Z-Fighters.
- Ungrateful Bastard: This takes place after the Tournament of Power, so Beerus, after being saved from being wiped from existence, has no issue resurrecting one of the Z-Fighters' greatest foes and having him murder Gohan's family just to see if he could pose a challenge to him in the future.
- Would Hit a Girl: Cell has no problem breaking Vidal's neck to hurt Gohan.
- Would Hurt a Child: Cell blows the infant Pan to smithereens just to hurt Gohan.
