Defragmentation
is an ongoing web comic by zarla-s based on the second chapter of Deltarune.
The Pink Addison comes across Spamton in a dumpster, long after his good fortune ran out. After conferring amongst themselves, the Addisons decide to try and help Spamton recover. What follows is the Addisons attempting to figure out how to even begin interacting with someone they abandoned at the height of his sucess and is still harboring resentment towards them.
Defragmentation provides examples of:
- Art Evolution: The first few comics have panels with defined borders (akin to sister comic Handplates) and Spamton's cheeks are depicted as solid dark red circles. After that, the edges of the panels take on a borderless sketchy appearance, while Spamton's cheeks look scribbled-on in a lighter shade of rednote .
- Beat Panel: One comic has a dialogue-less panel between Pink catching Spamton going through their wallet and Spamton deciding to Eat the Evidence.
- Eat the Evidence: In "Your credit rating is delicious", Pink catches Spamton riffling through their wallet. Spamton's response is to freeze up for a moment, then toss the wallet and credit card he was holding into his mouth.
- Heal Thyself: Spamton is capable of summoning miniature angel versions of himself to self-heal, which he learned how to do after going broke and being unable to afford medical care. He can also use them to restore the HP of others.
- Imagine Spot: When Pink offers to let Spamton stay at their place, the latter briefly imagines stealing Pink's belongings, getting buff and pushing aside some Swatchlings, and having the Addisons bow before him in his NEO form.
- Must Make Amends: The Addisons decide to help Spamton get back on his feet to make up for cutting contact with him out of jealousy back when he was successful.
- No, You: After the Pink Addison agrees to take in Spamton while he's rebooting, Orange keeps cracking jokes about Spamton punching Pink.Orange: Tell me when he punches you in the face!
Pink: I'm going to punch YOU in the face. - Rapid-Fire "No!": Pink lets off a string of "no"s as Spamton eats their wallet and one of their credit cards.
- Shout-Out: Spamtom mumbles "Come on down to BIG SHOT AUTOS" in his sleep at one point, refencing a Deltarune-themed parody of Big Bill Hell's.
