Webcomic / Crash Bandicoot Retold

Go To

Crash Bandicoot Retold is a Webcomic created by SuperSaiyanCrash that is allegedly a retelling of the Crash Bandicoot franchise. Interestingly, it is filled with plot elements directly borrowed from other series, sexual content, and an abundance of original characters.

After the events of Crash: Mind Over Mutant, the Tenth Dimension clones led by Evil Crash attack N. Sanity Island and kill everyone, including heroes and villains, just when Evil Crash is about to kill the good Crash, Aku Aku sends a message to the past - "Power of Crystals, Prevent the Demon". Back in the events of the first game, Aku Aku gets the message of future Aku Aku and tells about it to his two followers, Goku Bandicoot and Juba the Jaguar. Just then the heroes receive a word of a strange body that washed into the beach, and this is where the retelling of Crash Bandicoot begins.

Crash Bandicoot Retold has the following tropes:

  • Adaptation Deviation: The most notable aspect of this webcomic is that it takes Crash Bandicoot and combines it with aspects of Dragon Ball, Tekken, and Mortal Kombat.
  • Adaptational Hairstyle Change: Crash has a rather thick and animesque hairstyle similar to Goku compared to what he had in the games.
  • Book Ends: The first comic begins with all the heroes and villains fighting their evil counterparts from Tenth Dimension and losing, the final comic ends with a big battle between all the heroes and their evil counterparts from Tenth Dimension, but this time the heroes win.
  • Downer Beginning: The entire comic starts off with every major character from the Crash Bandicoot series dead or mutilated at the hands of Evil Crash.
  • Set Right What Once Went Wrong: Aku Aku of all people ends up going back in time to stop Evil Crash from killing everyone.
