ARCHON'S TABLET is the webcomic by Animator Zee. The story revolves around Caroline Madison, a museum owner-to-be who finds herself caught up in a centuries-old feud between her city's legendary Guardian Dragon and an evil, bloodthirsty Hydra. Caroline very quickly discovers that the fate of her hometown could very well be in her hands, and it doesn't help that she was unwillingly transformed into a dragon along the way.
The comic is published on Tumblr with a series of images acting as panels, and updates usually contain around three to five at a time. The comic is still in its early stages, and is currently updated sporadically.
This show provides examples of:
- All Myths Are True: The tale of the Hydra and the Guardian Dragon battling it out to save the city is regarded as a true story by the locals.
- Disappeared Dad: Caroline's father.
- Emergency Transformation: Caroline is transformed into a dragon near the beginning of the story. She's not too happy about it.
- Half-Breed Discrimination: It's implied that Jason gets picked on regularly for this. It doesn't seem to bother him all that much, though.
- Here There Were Dragons: Roughly a thousand years before the comic's start, "extinction hunts" took place, explaining a great lack of mythical creatures that otherwise would have been regularly seen or acknowledged.
- Title Drop: Happens when Caroline asks her mother about one of the new artifacts in the museum's display.
