Go To

The Boo Review is an analytical video series where friends AJ and Jared discuss supposedly real paranormal videos with occasional input from Nathan, who is without a doubt a real baby orangutan. They sometimes speculate on how some of the faker looking videos were made while making jokes about the videos they're watching. Jared and AJ usually rank the videos on a scale of one to seven based on if they think the video is real or not, or if the video is an obvious fake they rate it on how good of a fake it is. If they're not focusing on a single topic they make top ten lists about the best paranormal videos of the month.

This show contains examples of:

  • Arch-Enemy: Jared and AJ regularly make fun of the obvious fakeness of the videos seen on the channel Scary Videos.
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: AJ, Jared, and Nathan all have their moments. Especially Nathan.
  • Deep South: The show takes place in Missisippi. They even investigated some local ghosts in some of the earlier episodes.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: In the earlier episodes Nathan was a shy guy who just didn't want his face to be on camera. It wasn't until later that they came up with the joke about him being an orangutan.
  • The Faceless: Nathan always either has something covering his face or is seen from the back.
  • Funny Background Event: In the Top 5 Creepy Dolls video the doll they have in the room kept being moved between shots.
  • Running Gag: AJ seems to have a habit of mispronouncing words. Such as pronouncing suit as scoot and humiliating as hemiliating.
  • Unfortunate Name:
    • In the third 2016 Christmas special video, the paranormal video was introduced as "Doll That Moves Head" causing Jared and AJ to crack up.
    • In the previous Christmas special, one video was induced as "Boy Attack". they quickly changed it to "Boy Attacked in Jamaica", only to realize it sounded even worse.
  • Visual Pun: When Jared is out in Black Forest he finds a piece of ham.
