The Adventures of Jamie Watson and Sherlock Holmes, or 'TAJWASH', is a YouTube webseries adaptation by Remarkable Singular Curious Productions that began in 2014. It's based on the Sherlock Holmes stories by Arthur Conan Doyle, set in modern times and with the main male characters Gender Flipped. Beginning as a Vlog Series, the second season has both vlog and traditional elements, including half-hour long episodes.
The Adventures of Jamie Watson and Sherlock Holmes provides examples of:
- Adaptational Sexuality: Sherlock is explicitly identified as asexual and aromantic, as is Irene Adler. Jamie is bisexual.
- Adaptational Name Change: Jamie from John, Jemma from James, Jennifer from... G. The list goes on.
- But Not Too Bi: Jamie is bisexual, but all of her love interests among the mostly-female cast are female characters.
- Last-Name Basis: Although we know Lestrade's first name, she prefers to be called by her surname.
