Shadow Streak is a cartoon reviewer most well known reviewing the entirety of The Powerpuff Girls (2016), episode by episode (against his better judgement). As well as doing a Top Five Best And Worst video for each season and talking about things related to the series. Ultimately finishing his long and extensive look at all of the reboot's content with a look at the Power Puff Girls expansion packs for LEGO Dimensions in April of 2021, after five years. Following it up with the five year anniversary video titled: The End: My Final Power Puff Girls 2016 Video!.

In contrast to more Caustic Critics, Shadow Streak is generally very chill and balanced, despite mostly reviewing a series he overall dislikes.

In addition to his reviews of PPG 2016, Shadow Streak has created "Legacy of The Power Puff Girls", an in depth retrospective of the original series for its 20th anniversary. As well as brief looks at other animated series, including a standalone review of an episode of Chowder, first impression videos on Final Space and Kipo And The Age Of Wonder Beasts, and a worst to best list of Rick and Morty Season One, among others between his PPG 2016 reviews.

He has also repeatedly brought up the possibility of reviewing all the episodes of the original Power Puff Girls, like he did with the reboot. But has so far put off doing so till a later date. Though he has said that he does plan on doing it when feels he's ready.

Post reviewing every episode of the PPG reboot and looking at all related material, he has announced three major projects; a series of reviews of licensed games based on animated series, continuing off of a one off review he did of SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom during his time reviewing the reboot. A follow up series of his brief look at the Powerpuff Girls related content for Lego Dimensions looking at more of the game's content. And a retrospective series on Humongous Entertainment and their various games.

Shadow Streak's videos contains examples of:

  • Actually Pretty Funny: He is not afraid to admit when he actually found something in the reboot pretty funny. Like Alegro's Screw This, I'm Outta Here moment in "Largo" or the running gag of no one remembering who The Nat is.
  • Adaptational Wimp: One of his most recurring issues with the reboot is the fact that the girls seem to have been hit with this pretty hard much of the time. Often being knocked out of the fight with a single blow, often needing outside help, and when they do get to land some decent hits on their enemies, it’s rarely as intense as it would have been in the original.
Shadow Streak: (In response to The Nat's lackluster plan to take-out the girls with a giant boot.) Maybe he was counting on the girls being pathetically weak, like they are 98% of the time. But unfortunately for him, they managed to find their strength this time.
    • He also complains about Mojo Jojo and Him being hit by this much of the time.
  • Berserk Button: He has an issues about the crew of the reboot inserting their names and likeness in the show. He later explains his issues is that he feels they are permanently attaching themselves to a franchise, that they are not the original creators of.
    • He also doesn’t like exaggerated muscles. Finding it gross.
    • invoked He is not fond of Jared or Donny.
  • Crossover: He has collaborated fairly often with other YouTubers in the animation community, including, PhantomStrider, Pie Guy Rulze, and Alpha Jay.
  • Deadpan Snarker:
Shadow Streak: Another instance of the writers not giving enough of an effort to care.
  • Early Instalment Weirdness: Shadow's early PPG 2016 reviews were much shorter, largely just being summaries of the episodes. But later on in season one, they started to become longer and more in depth analysis. Early reviews also had more cutaways and he was more willing to call out the crew behind the show, instead of just treating the show as a single entity.
  • The Ending Changes Everything: Brought up in a negative since, in the episode "Brain Lord". While 'Brain Lord' (actually Mojo Jojo posing as a lonely hero to get close to the Utoniums) is making a Heroic Sacrifice after bonding with girls, Bubbles reveals out of the blue that they knew who he actually was while thanking him. Which Shadow believes not only creates a plot hole, as there's no indication prior in the episode the girls were on to him and brings up the question of why they were still playing along, but weakens what was otherwise a great episode for all characters involved.
  • Epic Fail: invoked In "Toy Ploy"note , Shadow Streak believes the reboot somehow ruined the character of Octi, Bubbles' inanimate stuffed octopus.
  • Foreshadowing:
    • In "Toy Ploy", Shadow Streak is relieved unlike the Canon Foreigner bedtime companions for Blossom and Buttercup, Octi, Bubbles' iconic stuffed octopus from the original, isn't given an unnecessary elaborate back story. Because he would have hated if the reboot ruined one of the most precious thing from the original. The clip used even has the word foreshadowing floating by emphasis
    • During his review of the PPG 2016 four parter "Small World", he suggests during the second part, it would have been a better twist if returning character Sapna, was revealed to have been replaced by Lester Van Luster, the Big Bad of "Small World", than the plot for the episode they went with. Part four reveals that Lester actually did replace The Professor.
  • Fridge Logic: invoked He's very quick to point out and take apart any of this he finds.
  • Growing the Beard: Invoked in regards to season three of the reboot. While still far from great, Shadow believes the show was starting to head in the right direction and may have been better received overall, if season one was more like season three.
  • Nice Guy: Shadow Streaks appears as a friendly, kind of laid back, and usually reasonable guy.
  • Pet-Peeve Trope: invoked He admits in his "Save The Date" review, that size changing tropes are Nausea Fuel for him, though he isn't sure why. Despite this, "Save The Date" still managed to be one of his more positive reviews of the series.
  • Running Gag: Shadow Streak likes using the "The Bubbles you know is gone!" clip from the OG series whenever possible.
  • Shout-Out:
    • His review of "Horn Sweet Horn" opens with the first bit of the theme song for My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, before Shadow Streak stops it, saying "Wrong show". We also get a clip from Double Rainboom later on.
    • In his review of the PPG 2016 episode "Mini golf Madness", a gumball that appears in the episode is edited to look like a little Gumball head. He also jokingly says the episode, "The Spoon", might have been ripping off Gumball's titles.
    • In his review of the PPG 2016 four parter "Small World", he somehow ends up referencing both Sonic Adventure 2 and Avengers: Infinity War Twice.
    • George Lucas's "It's like poetry, it rhymes" line pops up when applicable.
  • Take That!:
    • In his review of "Odd Bubbles Out", he mentioned that as part of the exchange program that allowed Donny The Unicorn to come back to Townsville, a human student took his place at the unicorn school.
Shadow Streak: Now I'm suddenly getting flashbacks to another Cartoon Network show I wasn't fond of. (As the title image of My Gym Partner's a Monkey materializes on screen)
    • He makes a jab at No Man's Sky in his "The Last Donnycorn" review.
  • Take That, Scrappy!: invoked He wonders whether Donny getting run over, almost drowning, and getting repeatedly struck by lightning in "Total Eclipse of The Kart" was meant to be this, in his Top 5 video for the season. Either way, he found it cathartic.
