Pony Horror Abridged is an Abridged Series based on My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic created by Ross Pit: Shark Hunter, the executive producer of Scootertrix the Abridged. The series revolves around Twilight Sparkle, as she is exiled by the Princess along with her assistant Spike to "The Town," a place where ponies who do wrong are banished.
The first episode was released on October 8, 2016.
This Abridged Series contains the following tropes:
- Adaptational Villainy: Pretty much almost every character in the series (sans Pinkie and Spike).
- Animorphism: Rainbow can turn into a bat. She won't, but she can.
- Ax-Crazy: Applejack murdered her entire family to keep as ghost slaves, and Rarity and Twilight are guilty of multiple murders.
- Beware the Quiet Ones: As mentioned by Rainbow in episode 2, and Rarity in episode 3, Fluttershy can be this.
- Blatant Lies: Twilight plays this trope straight to Celestia in episode 1.
- City of the Damned: Ponyville is a town where the worst of the worst ponies are banished to live alongside Celestia's evil half, Darkside. It looks pretty pleasant though.
- Cute Ghost Girl: Applejack.
- Dark Is Evil: Darkside, the evil half of Celestia's personality, is a black alicorn.
- Dead All Along: Very shortly into their first meeting, Twilight learns that Applejack is a ghost.
- Evil Twin: After Celestia splits herself up, her dark half serves as this.
- Goth: Rainbow's element of horror.
- Healing Factor: Darkside cuts her stomach open and states it would be much worse if she were a regular pony.
- Immortality Immorality: Rainbow Dash is an immortal vampire who bites the necks of other ponies.
- The Igor: Spike. Partially subverted, as Twilight isn't a Mad Scientist.
- Jump Scare: Pinkie Pie's personality is built around this. It's also her element of horror.
- Kaiju: The sea serpent in the aptly named Kaiju Forest.
- Lost in Transmission: In episode 1, whenever someone mentions that Twilight told the 12-year-old that she blinded him in one eye to "drink his mother's-".
- Nice Girl: Darkside's transformation into Luna causes her to be kind and honest.
- Nightmare Face: Twilight's murderous grin that flashes in episode one.
- Only Sane Man: Despite her jumpy nature, Pinkie Pie is the closest this series has to a sane man.
- The Quiet One: Fluttershy.
- Villain Protagonist: Not only Twilight, but each of her friends too.
- Would Hurt a Child: After promising to the Princess that she wouldn't kill anybody else ever again, Twilight then attempts to kill a 12-year-old child.
