Nepotism Adventure Series is the second My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic parody series done by Greg Hoffman, a.k.a. FiMFlamFilosophy after My Little Pony: The Mentally Advanced Series was cancelled due to no longer being a parody. It's likely that the series got Cut Short with only two episodes due to Greg feeling that YouTube doesn't appreciate his work.

Tropes present in NAS:

  • Accidental Murder: Trixie and Starlight accidentally kill the Mayor because Trixie thought the marble she put in her coffee was a mint and Starlight accidentally Neck Snapped her while trying to perform the Heimlich.
  • Dark Reprise: The music in the title sequence starts out sounding like a minor version of the opening title music of FiM.
  • Easily Forgiven: Starlight assumes Twilight will forgive her for accidentally killing the Mayor, especially since she forgave Starlight for killing a planet. Trixie is incredulous, as Twilight never forgave her for anything.
  • Evil Debt Collector: Zigzagged. The first tax collector Celestia hired was an idiot who couldn't collect a bit because he couldn't count past twenty and died by choking on a marble. The second one played it straight, taking an entire town to court when they refused to pay. They Kill the Creditor in response.
  • Kill the Creditor: The town burned the second tax collector at the stake. This is why no taxes have been implemented in Equestria since.
  • More than Mind Control: Trixie tells Starlight to use her mind control magic to make everyone forget the Mayor existed. Starlight protests she's not supposed to do that.
Trixie: You're not supposed to murder ponies!
    • She ends up doing it and convinces Twilight that she had been the one in charge the whole time, given that she's a princess.
  • Nepotism: Not only is it in the name, but it's brought up in the first episode.
Twilight: I mean, this is why ponies become rulers, right? To help their friends get things they wouldn't have access to without their royal power?
  • Wingding Eyes:
Trixie: Do you see the X's on her eyes?
    Starlight: Those could be plusses.
    Trixie: That means she's dead!
