From "Username 666", "POKOPOKOPIKOTAN" and "pokopokoshopping"

nana825763 (also known as PiroPito) is a Japanese YouTuber and Surreal Horror artist. He is best known for creating videos that combine cute themes with horror.

Although he first started his YouTube channel in 2006, he has been making content as early as 2001, and has occasionally posted his works prior to the website's launch there.

Some of his content include:

  • Username 666: a take on the eponymous creepypasta where a user comes across said account and encounters a very distorted, corrupted version of the website.
  • Queen Ant A-chan's Egg Diary: a series documenting the titular queen ant and her ant colony.
  • COOKING IDOL: An interesting cooking tutorial featuring Noroi-chan making rice cakes.
  • POKOPOKOPIKOTAN: a stop-motion animated short film featuring A-tan and Piko-tan where their world slowly gets ruined.
  • My house walk-through: a walkthrough of an old Japanese house that slowly becomes more and more deteriorated over time.
  • PiroPito First Playthrough of Minecraft: his playthrough of Minecraft.

PiroPito's works contain examples of:

  • Ambiguously Evil: Because of Noroi-chan's name, her creepy appearance and where she was found, combined with her innocent and childlike personality, it is unknown whether or not she actually does have malicious intentions.
  • Author Appeal: Ants and traditional dolls are common elements in many videos.
  • Crapsaccharine World: Much of his videos, such as POKOPOKOPIKOTAN, seem cute and harmless at first with adorable characters in bright pastel backgrounds, but eventually become dark and twisted over time.
  • Creepy Doll:
    • Noroi-chan herself is the epitome of this trope. She's a damaged Ichimatsu doll with red painted skin to resemble bloodstains and a hollowed-out stomach, and when seen in dark lighting, she looks like she has completely black eyes.
    • To a lesser extent, Abandoned Chan. Though he’s less creepy than Noroi-chan thanks to his Black Bead Eyes and overall more modern appearance, he can be pretty unsettling in some scenes that he appears in.
  • Curiosity Killed the Cast: "Username 666" and "Another YouTube" show the user exploring the haunted website that they're clearly not supposed to be in, until they are physically unable to exit.
  • Does This Remind You of Anything?: The world of "POKOPOKOPIKOTAN" is clearly themed after a public park and the girls brush off being attacked and tainted until it's too late. At one point the hand repeatedly pokes through the bottom half of each portrait, which is the only element of the video to show blood.
  • Emoticon: Emoticons are used frequently in the English subtitles of his videos, most notably this one: (0u0)
  • The Fourth Wall Will Not Protect You:
    • "Username 666" ends with the hand grabbing over the video's frame.
    • Episode 14 of "Queen Ant A-Chan's Egg Diary" has Noroi-chan making frequent jumpscares across the black frame, staring right at the viewer and accompanied by unnerving moaning noises.
  • Grotesque Cute: The channel's signature style is self-described as "cute and horror", with many videos featuring childish elements getting progressively more corrupt.
  • Haunted Technology: In "Username 666" and "Another YouTube", after the point of no return, the operating system gets corrupted by the otherworldly forces.
  • Hell Is That Noise:
    • Occasionally during the horror segments in his videos, a variety of creepy sounds can be heard from a mechanical-like noise to chilling moaning.
    • At the beginning of COOKING IDOL before Noroi-chan appears, the reversed, whispery singing of the Edo Lullaby can be heard.
    • The sutra in My house walk-through. Near the end where the walls are completely covered in what seems to be cobwebs, it sounds even more distorted than earlier in the video.
  • Jump Scare:
    • Noroi-chan throughout COOKING IDOL, where a closeup of her face frequently appears.
    • Throughout episode 14 of Queen Ant A-chan's Egg Diary, Noroi-chan occasionally appears throughout the black border of the video and at the end, accompanied by disturbing moaning noises.
  • Kill It with Fire: In "POKOPOKOPIKOTAN" A-tan is killed off by being poked with a burnt cigarette.
  • Losing Your Head: In "POKOPOKOPIKOTAN" Piko-tan is grabbed by the head and shaken until its torn off, with the body still running around.
  • Meaningful Name: Noroi-chan was named because of the ruins she was found in during the video Exploring ruins, which is believed to be cursed.
  • Number of the Beast: The titular "Username 666" is a haunted YouTube version of website. In "pokopokoshopping" the numbers gets replaced with 6 as the program progressively gets worse.
  • Numerological Motif: The number 666 often appears throughout his works, with pokopokoshopping featuring it in prices and other numerical features of the items Noroi-chan and Abandoned Chan sell and appears throughout the corrupted screen in Username 666. The appearances of this number in later videos are likely Call-Backs to Username 666.
  • Production Throwback: "Username 666" reuses an earlier art video called "none" as one of the hell's contents.
  • The Show Must Go On: "pokopokoshopping" gets interrupted with candles getting the set on fire with the author having to pause and clean up, before moving on like nothing happened.
  • Subverted Kids' Show: "POKOPOKOPIKOTAN" starts as a cutesy stop-motion story until the world gets physically and graphically destroyed by the fourth-wall entity.
  • Unnaturally Looping Location: In "My house walk-through" the house in question is a traditional Japanese cottage that looks every second turn and gets progressively more distorted.
  • Wrap Around: The world of "POKOPOKOPIKOTAN" is not only 2D and girls can walk on all four sides, they wrap across by going over the edge.
  • Yonkoma: "pikotan" is an animated 4-panel gag comic about A-tan and Piko-tan discussing an alien's mushroom. The side panel is a newspaper clipping about an ongoing police investigation regarding two girls being dead and missing respectively, with the suspect being a foreigner (synonymous to "alien").
