Avaryl and Andrew are the Movie Bitches, two friends who get together, get wasted on wine, and talk shit on YouTube about Hollywood's latest and not-so-greatest movies. In addition to film reviews the two also recap episodes of RuPaul's Drag Race past and present, as well as release funny mash-ups ranging from Jean-Claude Van Damme’s naked ass shots to Michael Kor’s best snarks from Project Runway.
Since releasing their first review for Iron Man back on June 8th, 2013, the two have released well over 100 episodes (that number not including the aforementioned Drag Race reviews), and they show no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

- Continuity Lockout: The reason they have sworn off the Marvel Cinematic Universe was due to the fact its impossible to enjoy any of the current movies nowadays unless you've watched at least five previous movies and maybe two television mini-series. That, and they just don't get that much enjoyment out of Superhero franchises aside from maybe the hunky men in tight costumes (and even that only has so much draw power).
- Early-Installment Weirdness: Early episodes were a lot shorter, featured Avaryl and Andrew sitting on different sides, and involved some strange close-up shots as they spoke. They would also sometimes review movies one of them hadn’t seen (Man of Steel, which Avaryl refused to see) and once a movie neither of them had seen (This Is the End, in which they invited two friends to talk about the movie with them, instead).
- The Fashionista: Avaryl loves to talk about hair and fashion ("Can we talk about her wig/costumes/etc"). In the case of The Huntsman: Winter's War, despite finding the movie itself bad, she was more willing to give it a pass due to Charlize Theron’s fabulous outfits as Queen Ravenna.
- Incompatible Orientation: Although according to Andrew, the fact Henry Cavill is straight is "flexible".
- Intoxication Ensues: Will inevitable happen if they decide to drink during the movie and after it when they review it. Is usually accompanied by a #HaveSomeMore or a #GoHomeYou’reDrunk.
- Mr. Fanservice:
- Andrew admits the thirst is real for quite a number of Hollywood hunks, such as Henry Cavill and Chris Hemsworth, but none moreso than Michael Fassbender.
- Avaryl admits that Jeff Goldblum was this when she was a teenager. She also admits to having a crush on Harrison Ford … but gets defensive saying everyone has a crush on Harrison Ford!
- If YouTube comments are to be believed, many watchers swoon over Andrew when he wears shorts for the Drag Race reviews.
- Nice Jewish Boy: Andrew tends to serve gefilte fish realness
. - Pretentious Pronunciation: They are shocked to realize during their review of Atomic Blonde that Charlize Theron is actually pronounced Ther-on as opposed to Ther-own as they had been saying it. They then decide they like their way better, since it sounds more regal (Ther-own sounds a little like "Throne").
- Running Gag: Ever since their review of Wonder Woman (2017), whenever they see a female actress they like, they'll mention how she has a free pass to "Fabulous Cunt Island" (based on the island of Themyscira from Wonder Woman lore, an island populated only by fabulous and badass women). Since YouTube has threatened demonization over the use of the word "Cunt" however, the duo have taken to bleeping the word or saying "Fabulous Bundt" instead.
- The Scrappy:
- When pressed when they would finally review Sausage Party, the two stated they refuse to see any more Seth Rogen movies, finding them offensive, boring, and a waste of time (this was already hinted to when they reviewed This Is the End, which they refused to watch and made two other friends who did see it join them to discuss it).
- Andrew proclaims during their review of The Emoji Movie that he hates James Corden.
- During their reviews of Rupauls Drag Race they will typically have one queen per season that they just despise, quite typically its a queen who gets further in the season than they really should in spite of clearly not being on the same level as her competitors. This includes Season 1's Rebecca Glasscock, Season 2's Tatianna (although they admit she's
Rescued from the Scrappy Heap by All-Stars 2), Season 3's Shangela, Season 8's Derrick Barry, and Season 9's Alexis Michelle. They also greatly dislike Phi Phi O'Hara in All-Stars 2, but less due to her skill level and more for her just shitty attitude overall.- All-Stars 3 avoided having a single queen receive their ire, but that was mostly because they thought All-Star 3 as a whole was awful.
