The Massive Legend himself

Maxmoefoe is an Australian youtuber known for his destructive, off-beat, and subversive comedy videos.

His channel consists mainly of sketches that lean on the fourth wall and incorporate some kind of bizarre challenge or pain. For example, his cider drinking challenge where he drank as many bottles as possible while his friends threw computer monitors at him.

He is a frequent collaborator with Idubbbz TV, HowToBasic, Anything 4 Views and formerly Filthy Frank. (Known collectively as the Shrimpson Boys or Cancer Crew)

Max also runs three other channels; Maxmoefoepokemon where he opens Pokémon items and other toys, employing the same anger and destruction common to his brand. MaxmoefoeTwo for vlogs, and also contains the "Drink as much as possible in public" series. Finally, Maxmoefoegames. Tropes relating to these channels should go here.

Max is also co-host of the podcast Cold Ones.

Tropes about Maxmoefoe:

  • Abhorrent Admirer: Katarina Woodworth to Steve Buscemi in Max's sims playthrough.
    • Also a running gag that Chad is this towards Max.
  • Appease the Volcano God: The Big Nut demands sacrifices of Pokémon packs. If Max is lucky, the sacrifice will bring him good pulls.
  • Attractive Bent-Gender: Max often dresses as a girl in videos and going to the comment section of any of those will show plenty of people find it attractive.
  • Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: When Max loses his train of thought or gets distracted, he will curse his "caveman brain".
    • Max tends to get distracted a lot while playing VR games. Most notably in the Rick and Morty game. He spends over ten minutes messing around, touching Morty, putting a lampshade on Rick and Morty's heads, filling a bucket with detergent, ripping off door-knobs and other nonsense before doing the first task. Simply pushing a button.
  • Ax-Crazy: Max's destruction of his door, but more so the punishment inadequate products get on the Pokémon channel.
  • Beware the Cute Ones: According to a Nord VPN add he did, Kevin the Shiba is secretly plotting to kill Max.
  • Black Comedy: Max's jokes can get rather edgy.
  • Black Comedy Rape: At the end of "Super Trash Bros" Mario (George) and Luigi (Ian) push Princess Peach (Max) to the ground and begin to undress, implying they are going to rape her.
    • Also; "Get him off! He's got retard strength! Get him off!"
  • Bloody Hilarious: Max and his friends get severely injured for the sake of comedy.
  • Butt-Monkey: Chad is this in the Shrimpson collabs. He is set on fire, gets a PewDiePie and an iDubbbz tattoo on his ass, and is often stripped naked. He gets revenge sometimes though, such as the Deadly Twister series.
  • Chew Toy: Max's videos often involve him getting tortured in cruel and unusual yet hilarious ways, such as being forced to eat a disgusting and barely-edible "Krabby Patty" or running on a treadmill while drinking copious amounts of eggnog and being pelted with various Christmas-themed items.
  • Country Matters: Being an Australian, Max uses this word very casually.
  • Crossdresser: Always plays the girl. The only exception being Deadly Twister Two where Filthy Frank dresses as Princess Bubblegum and Max as Jake the Dog.
  • Big Eater: In one April Fools video where Max eats Doritos, egg salad and drinks chocolate milk. Intentionally getting them all over expensive cards.
  • Comedic Underwear Exposure: In the door opening for Dragon Ball trading cards, Max tries to go Super Saiyan, leading to his pants falling down showing his underwear, and him saying "my dick fell off".
  • Drives Like Crazy: The reason you will never see Max driving in a video is because he's a very bad, dangerous driver in real life.
  • Erotic Eating: In a valentine's day themed gaming video, Max's intro is seductively eating a plumb, before swallowing the entire thing whole.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Chad shows up in a few early Max videos before being given the moniker "Anything 4 Views".
  • Extreme Omnivore: During the cider challenge video, Max smashes the neck of a bottle of cider, then can be seen eating a piece of the label that's attached to a sharp shard of glass!
  • Fanservice/Fan Disservice: Depending on your point of view. Max has plenty of over-sexualized moments such as Ian lifting up his dress while he's bent over and dressed like Princess Peach. Or his borderline pornagraphic performance in How To Basic's "How to Be Beautiful".
  • Gross-Out Show: Maxmoefoe's videos features vomit, blood, spiders and lots of other icky imagery.
  • Geek Reference Pool: Max makes plenty of references to Pokémon, Dragon Ball, Adventure Time and so much more it's impossible to count.
    • Also Max's love of referencing memes. Especially weird obscure ones.
  • Ground Hog Day Loop: Max once got stuck in his opening door gag, reliving the same ones over and over until he figured this out and attempted to break the loop.
  • Have I Mentioned I Am Heterosexual Today?: "I've said a million times I aint gay! But oh man!"
  • Loyal Animal Companion: Kevin the Shiba.
  • Love Triangle: Parodied. Maxine and Fake Frank get married in the final cake video, but Maxine is clearly more into Ian. Fake cheats on Maxine with Chad at the wedding, and Chad makes more than a few passes at Maxine.
  • Makeover Torment: Taken very much to the extreme in "Boyfriend Does My Makeup". How To Basic uses burnt wood as eyeshadow, a sharpie as eyeliner, and breaks glass containers of lotion over Max's head for moisturizer.
  • Mister Seahorse: Max gave birth to Negative Chin-Chin.
  • Once an Episode: The door gags on the Pokémon channel.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: There are a few occasions where Max and/or his friends break character when they feel the video they're filming has gone too far:
    • HowToBasic goes on a rampage at the end of Deadly Twister 2, forcing Max and his friends to flee the room. Anything4Views gets hit in the head with a heavy metal object, causing everyone to sober up and acknowledge that HowToBasic could've seriously hurt one of them.
    • After several rounds of running on a treadmill while getting hit with Christmas-themed objects thrown by HowToBasic, Max cuts the Eggnog Jog short and skips the final round. By this point, Max was exhausted from all the running, in pain from getting hit by HowToBasic, and covered in rotten egg yolk and his own vomit, so it's really no wonder why he did this.
  • Prank Call: What Max started his channel doing.
  • Running Gag: A lot. Max's excessive vomiting.
    • Katarina constantly bothering Steve and King in his sims playthrough
    • "Kane is Gay" from his old mail-time videos.
    • On the Pokémon channel Max will say the same thing when certain cards come up, such as;
"Cutie Fly Marzia Pie!!!" for Cutie Fly
"Thicc Wicke!!" for the trainer, Wicke
"Charmander dying in the rain" for a particular Charmander depicted in the rain.
      "Big spaghetti Mama!" for Tangala
    • Also calling Bellsprout a fleshlight, general hatred of Eevee and always mentioning that Pokémon is trying to make her a secondary mascot.
    • Doing something to damage his Pokémon singing toys.
    • "MASSIVE LEGEND HERE!"
    • Destroying his door
    • This place could use some Spicing Up!
    • Emphasizing words by lowering the pitch of his voice.
  • Self-Deprecating Humor: Max constantly makes jokes aimed at his Pokémon collecting, his looks, his weight and just about anything else.
  • Shameless Self-Promoter: Anytime Max's dog Kevin is mentioned, he reminds everyone to follow his dog's Instagram.
    • Also a running joke that Max will constantly promote his own discount code "Moefoe" over the one he shares with Chad, "Coldones".
  • Stalker without a Crush: While Max is opening Dragonball figures, he spots someone creeping around his yard. Turns out it's Ali the Cabbage, who is obsessed with Max and flew to Australia to stalk him.
  • Stealth Pun: Max's Poke-Pun prank calls which included such gems as "Beedrill-ing into this shelf", "My Hypno-longer hurts" and "That Rayquaza gift" (rake was a gift).
  • Stock Sound Effect: "Jeff" and "Bruh" soundbites.
  • Talking Animal: Max pretended to be a talking horse in one prank call. And it actually worked!
Max: "did a horse just call here?"
    7-11 Worker: "yeah."
  • Toilet Humor: Max's old prank calls had a lot of this. Such as calling up Mc Donald's and telling them someone crapped in his burger.
    • On Maxmoefoepokemon he questions why so many toys marketed towards little boys use this trope.
  • Those Two Guys: Max and Idubbbz and Max and Chad.
  • Vomit Indiscretion Shot: Max is famous for throwing up on camera. Notably, he once threw up while playing a VR game for seemingly no reason.
  • Vlog Series: Maxmoefoetwo has many of these.
  • Wham Line: Evil Max: "You do the intros! You all do... I DO THE PRODUCTS!"
