Interns of F.I.E.L.D. is an online Vlog Series-style sitcom created by Screen Junkies of Honest Trailers fame. It is an Affectionate Parody of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Interns of F.I.E.L.D. provides examples of:

  • Affectionate Parody: The organization of F.I.E.L.D. mirrors much of S.H.I.E.L.D. Captain America becomes Staff Sergeant America, Red Skull is Black Skull, the Infinity Orb is the Eternity Orb, Agent Coulson is Agent Carson, etc.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: In the first episode, when Skyler is doing an internal monologue of how she became an intern of F.I.E.L.D., her coworker in the elevator interrupts her saying "Huh, are you doing an origin story?"
  • Captain Ersatz: Staff Sergeant America for Captain America.
  • Evil Sounds Raspy: Black Skull's voice is rather high and very scratchy.
  • Genre Savvy: The interns explicitly categorize themselves as tropes of a TV show.
  • Logo Joke: The series' title sequence is extremely similar to that of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.... except that the logo starts smoking and blowing sparks in the middle of it, and then the title crumbles.
  • Magic Countdown: Another mocked trope, with the timer on the bomb strapped to Skyler reaching 00:00... before restarting a 30-minutes countdown.
  • Sigil Spam: Remarked on by Black Skull.
Black Skull: For a super-secret agency, it's super-weird you guys put your logo everywhere.
  • Strapped to a Bomb: Skyler gets this treatment from Black Skull on the first episode... and is a bit too enthusiastic about it.
Skyler: [giddily] Look, guys! Strapped to a bomb on my first day!
  • Too Dumb to Live: In the first episode, one of the interns stupidly picks up a discarded alien-tech grenade from a battle scene. It naturally blows her up, leading to Skyler's introduction as a replacement.
  • Wire Dilemma: Black Skull's bomb is mocked as wholly un-original, including having blue and red wires to cut to stop it. Everybody is on the opinion you have to cut the blue one, even his hostage. He tries to bluff by saying it could be the red one, before admitting "Lucky guess!" in disgust.
