(Gasp!) (Sinkhole found REPORTED)
All: Where!?
Shiloh: Someone just put up a sinkhole, and didn't edit it back!
All: (Gasp!)
Elijah: Is anyone sus?
Judah: RED SUS!
Britney: So help me Judah, you say that all the time!!
Shiloh: We don't have enough evidence. I say we skip.
All: Skip.

If Everything Was Like Among Us is a series of web videos done by Shiloh Nelson and her siblings (big brothers Ejilah, Micah, Judah, Josiah, Daniel and big sister Mary) and close friends. While they already made several TikTok videos where they engaged in friendly pranks against each other, this is a series that blew up in popularity, causing continuations and somewhat consistent characterization throughout videos.

As the title suggests, these videos are based on the popular game Among Us. Shiloh and her brothers and friends re-enact possible scenarios that could happen in Among Us, with the Excuse Plot being a Lighter and Softer version of the game: Both Impostors and Crewmates are competing to be granted the right to stay within the place by Shiloh's mother for the day (as usual, crewmates needs to finish tasks and spot impostors, impostors need to sabotage or eliminate crewmates. The eliminated ones get tossed out of the area), and then cue Dance Party Ending. The losers aren't dead, but merely stuck outside the party room, not allowed to join.

Unlike the usual live-action re-enactment of Among Us, there are several deviations to the rules. Aside from no one being dead, talking is allowed outside meetings, but decisions can only be made during meetings. Additionally, reportable crimes are now no longer just 'dead body found' (since no one can die) but include mundane chores misconducts like breaking vases, littering, not washing dishes, etc. And because of this, the Ghost feature isn't heavily used, once someone is eliminated they can't help further in either finishing tasks or sabotaging (this only appeared once in the earlier episodes).

They have also had many Spinoffs, such as music videos, animatronic ride parodies, a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure video, or a re-enactment of other games such as Mario Kart or Roblox maps.

Shiloh and her bros, along with this series, can be viewed here. They also have a second channel here and a channel translating their videos to Spanish here.

Mom gave us these tropes in This Very Wiki so get'em listed. And remember there are 3 Impostors!

  • Adaptational Location Change: While the maps are themed after Among Us maps, the location tends to be different:
    • Skeld isn't in a spaceship, or at least not implied to be since the eliminated players are kept in a cage. It was initially assumed to be the family's home, but it officially debuted as a place in the Shapeshifter episode.
    • Polus is in a snowing vacation logging home instead of a research center. Additionally, the lava is changed into a hot tub of water, a method reused for the Christmas cabin.
    • Mira HQ is not a tall building but a yacht, so the elimination can take the form of being tossed to the water (instead of a deadly extreme height).
    • Airship is in an old abandoned airplane that doesn't fly, thus the elimination takes the form of being tossed onto the plane's wings.
  • Affectionate Parody: The series contains several nods towards the game's elements and players' actual tendencies, as Shiloh and her bros often play video games, Among Us included. For instance, whenever lights are out sometimes multiple people try to fix the lights to no avail, referencing how players tend to stack and fix the lights together, only to fail because they (due to lag) turn off a switch that was already turned on by other players.
  • Arch-Enemy: Judah is constantly at odds with Britney since she's scathingly snarky towards his idiotic moments and she mostly wears red, the color of 'Sus'.
  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: In modded games the players who have the special roles are given a change to their appearance that reflects the role. Subverted for the jester (at least during the game), original zombie imposter, shapeshifter and absorber due to their identities being shown as a mystery and the guardian angel as it's only given after being thrown out.
  • The Bad Guy Wins: The crewmates are not guaranteed to get a win just because they are the good guys. Seen so far in episodes 1, 4, 6, 9, the Halloween Episode and the Miniposter games.
  • Battle Royale Game: There have been five as of now, four versions using water fights and one involving NERF. One of the former and the latter were shown as two-team matches while two were played with nine duos and one in five trios with one solo competitor.
  • Bears Are Bad News: While the outfit itself is more on the cute side this has appeared regularly.
    • In the Halloween Episode Josiah has the Teddy Bear role, which allows him to hold imposters in a hug. Micah ends up suffering from this.
    • In the Christmas Episode of the game David dresses up in the outfit. While it may seem like nothing he turns out to be one of the game's imposters, playing it straight.
    • The Christmas Obby also has a teddy bear used as an obstacle alongside a Christmas tree, where if anyone is touched by them they get sent back.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: On both sides during the zombie imposter episode. William is the Big Bad that kickstarted the apocalypse and nearly wipes out the whole crew. And Judah ends up becoming the Final Boy, completing all of his tasks just before the hoard closes in, sealing a victory for the crew.
  • Brick Joke:
    • In 5 after Leah sabotages so Elijah and Judah can't just vote her out Daniel whispers he thinks it's Judah. After the latter calls a meeting once the former fixes it Leah makes the same move to no avail.
    • Before the golden blaster is revealed as the prize for the water fight duos episode Shiloh states that the winner gets eternal glory. Cue Elijah holding a paper with "ETERNAL GLORY" written on it at their celebration.
  • Call-Back: In the first duo water battle royal William is knocked out alongside the remaining yellow player, and when they get to the bus he inquires about returning to the game by winning a fistfight against him, which the other three deny. Come the first trio battle royale Sebastian mentions he almost won one to do the same, cueing his ally Micah to tell him the same and the former going back to apologize.
  • Casanova Wannabe: William has a tendency to think of himself as a very desirable man and makes game-based puns to 'confess', which usually gets him booted.
William: "Hey red, are you the imposter? Because you vented into my heart!"
  • Character as Himself: Everyone who appears here goes by their real name, the only exceptions being game characters plugged in from their home series with others playing their role.
  • Character Tics: Some characters have certain recognizable tics, some of them get played around a bit at times:
    • At the beginning of every episode, after tasks are given, Elijah has a tendency to look at his task list intensely, turning around twice, before running off with it.
    • If there are three impostors, Daniel has a tendency to complain about why there are 3 impostors instead of two.
  • Chase Scene: At least one occurs in every video, generally a crewmate running from an impostor.
  • Cheaters Never Prosper: Whenever a character cheats in the spin-off episodes, things don't end well for them. This includes Kendall from the first Roblox obby episode, both of the final teams in the Friday Night Funkin' episodes and the cyan and yellow teams in the second duo water fight battle royale.
  • Chekhov's Gun:
    • During the 'If Water Fights Were Like Battle Royale', Judah has a Running Gag of putting water balloons in his back pocket with the tendency for them to pop in case it smashes into something or he has to crouch. His defense to his teammate Elijah is "IN CASE OF EMERGENCY!!". Later on, he ends up winning the whole Battle Royale against the other last survivor Shiloh because he still has one balloon after his pool noodle got knocked out. "IN CASE OF EMERGENCY!!" indeed.
    • In "If NERF Was Like Video Games" Micah reveals a blaster that hides another smaller one within it. It comes in handy when Shiloh and Elijah are the last of their teams left, and she uses it to strike him and then uses her ax to finish him off.
    • Early in the Huggy Wuggy Among Us Episode, Sarina notices the vitals show there's an extra crewmate. Josiah assumes the vitals are broken, though the crew later discovered that's because Poppy stowed away on the ship.
    • In the NERF Zombies video Elijah is shown having an axe with a bunch a grenades on it. This ends up being the weapon he uses to eliminate alpha Michelle when he's left as the Sole Survivor.
  • Chekhov's Skill: Elijah's special skill is to do tasks in the dark. While at first many accuse him of being an impostor, this comes in handy when he becomes the only crewmate in Among Us -1 when a blackout occurs.
Elijah: "Good thing I know how to do tasks in the dark!"
  • Christmas Episode: Two recent videos involve a Christmas theme, one in Among Us and the other a Roblox obby.
  • Collective Groan: "X was... not an/the impostor." And then everyone groans at once.
  • Color-Coded for Your Convenience: Several characters wear a constant color most of the time so they are more recognizable:
    • Shiloh: Purple
    • Elijah: Blue
    • Micah: Green
    • Judah: Orange
    • Britney: Red
    • Mary: White
    • Josiah: Black
    • Sarina: Yellow
  • Dance Party Ending: Each installment ends with the winning team dancing inside the building, while the losers stay outside and end up arguing about who's the cause of defeat.
  • The Ditz: Mary has a bad habit of screwing up due to being rather absent-minded. She even forgot she was an Impostor one time.
  • Enemy Mine:
    • Judah and Britney had one when they were both impostors in 6, agreeing to a one-time truce.
    • In If Huggy Wuggy was in Among Us episode, Huggy Wuggy indiscriminately eliminates everyone he comes across and he can't be voted or thrown out in the Among Us manner (he always comes back to the game), forcing the Crewmate and Imposter side to work together to find a way to get rid of him. And for once, the truce doesn't end after Huggy Wuggy is out, both Crewmates and Imposters participate in the Dance Party Ending.
  • Epic Fail: Daniel in Episode 5 claimed to be a detective and experienced in the deduction of who's the impostor after watching too many detective videos. He proceeded to use the skill to... boot out three crewmates (Micah, Britney and Mary) and when he gets booted out as a consequence, everyone says he had it coming.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: During the '9 Impostors' video, Micah got voted out even by his fellow Impostors because he changed the Netflix Password without telling anyone.
Micah: "Whoa whoa whoa. I'm actually an imposter guys."
Josiah: "Okay I'm an impostor too, but that is just too evil!"
    Shiloh: "Agreed."
  • Excuse Plot: Shiloh's mom has a bunch of tasks for the crew and a party is held later, but only the Crewmates or Impostors can be in. The Rainbow Friends Crossover reveals this is for the Missions Operations Management run by their mom, but that's all you need to know about 'plot', the rest is basically how many Among Us parodies and shenanigans you can cram in.
  • Face Palm:
    • Done by all the crewmates in the sixth installment when Sarah successfully secures Josiah's vote by flirting with him, effectively giving the imposter side the win.
    • Also done by everyone in the Fortnite Imposters game when Elijah skips the final three vote. However, this led to him winning for them anyways by completing all of the tasks left.
  • Felony Misdemeanor: A necessity because no killing is involved (not even using dummy corpses like a majority of other live-action Among Us reenactment videos). What counts as a reportable offense includes not killing someone, but instead unfinished chores, pranks or the likes of such mess.
  • Five-Second Foreshadowing: In the second too many mods episode as the roles are listed that are active in the game slowing them down will reveal both that there was an invisible character in the game and David actually had the power Elijah claims early on, thus the latter is the absorber this time.
  • Flawless Victory: In the Mini Imposter episode, Jocelyn and Judah managed to keep themselves from being voted out and eliminate everyone minus Micah.
  • Foreshadowing: In the water park battle royale Micah and Josiah are the only team we hear discuss what they would rename the park if they win it. They win in the end and a flag in the corner shows the discussed names.
  • Frame-Up: Plenty occur in the games, ranging from Daniel successfully eliminating Elijah for an imposter victory in the Halloween Episode to Hallie nearly doing the same in the second Poppy Playtime Crossover and Elijah setting up one himself by manipulating Cole's bingo card in the second too many mods episode.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: William is usually portrayed as the ally that keeps making 'inappropriate' remarks, being too full of himself, misusing his tools and generally the team aren't too annoyed if he's booted.
  • Fun with Acronyms: In the Rainbow Friends crossover Elijah reveals the various assignments they do are for the Missions Operation Management, or M.O.M., which happens to run by their mom.
  • Gasp!: Every finding and reporting of crimes will be accompanied by an audible gasp from the finder, and everyone does en masse when they hear the crime, no matter how light.
  • Genre Savvy: Elijah claims this during the Zombies in Among Us videos, though this doesn't prevent him from getting turned.
  • Halloween Episode: One episode involves the team doing tasks in a mansion.
  • Human Chess: Done in the aptly-titled chess video, where the goal is to save Elijah by defeating the Chess King.
  • Idiot Hero: Judah is usually portrayed as someone not very bright in the head, tending to do dumb things and passing through impostors faking tasks without concern. He also at one point fails to recognize Britney when she wears a wig and a color other than red when everyone else already knew it was her.
  • I Never Said It Was Poison: This is what exposes the Absorber in the too many mods video. While backing up Adam Britney mentioned Shiloh had twelve tasks, but she only told that to two others, Judah and David. The only way she could have known was if David, another imposter, told her using Hallie's power.
  • It's Quiet… Too Quiet: Said verbatim by Shiloh and Daniel in the first trio battle royale as they traverse after concealing their teammate Zoe.
  • Late-Arrival Spoiler:
    • In the water park battle royale episode Judah psyches himself up by admitting he won the first duo battle royale, effectively revealing the end result of that video.
    • The trios battle royale had Elijah and Josiah teamed up, and the latter comments that they have both won once before, though in which one is left unclear.
  • Lighter and Softer: It's like Among Us but more kid-friendly and no deaths or monstrous alien-like creatures or scary environment involved!
  • Meaningful Release Date: The Pokemon in Real Life video was uploaded to the channel to coincide with the release of the ninth generation games Scarlet and Violet
  • Missing Mom: Shiloh's mom is the one who gives the tasks, but otherwise remains unseen in the videos. (She did however sometimes appear in non-gaming-related sketches from before they took off.)
  • Most Definitely Not a Villain: Some of the characters as impostors will slip up or act evil with others around them, and somehow other crewmates aren't concerned about it and move on.
  • Near-Villain Victory: This happens plenty of times, generally involving doing all the tasks.
    • In 3, the final imposter, David, appears right behind Shiloh and declares she'll lose. However she stalls him long enough for Mary to come in and say she finished her tasks, then complete her last one before he can react.
    • Similarly on the Fortnite episode Kiana approaches Elijah as he's finishing a tasks, saying he can't win by finishing them since Britney hasn't done any. They're Wrong Genre Savvy however, as anyone can complete all the tasks themselves, thus Elijah finishes the last one before he can get thrown out.
    • For 5 after Shiloh lets the boys vote her out Leah sabotages before they can call a meeting. However, Elijah is able to fix it just in time for Judah to call a meeting and they vote her out together.
    • On -1 Elijah again pulls this off by completing his tasks just before Shiloh can throw him out and with six imposters aware it was him.
    • A special case happens in the Kissy Missy crossover into Among us. With only three people left the Big Bad makes her final move on Elijah and ends up securing Bella's vote. However Huggy and Kissy opt to vote with Elijah instead of skipping again, taking her out for the win.
  • No-Dialogue Episode: This was done in If Among Us Had No Chat, as the game is silent until the imposter Sebastian is thrown out.
  • Not Completely Useless: Elijah has the ability to 'do tasks in the dark', but no one believed him and considered him sus for doing that. But during an unusual episode where Elijah is the only crewmate while the rest are impostors, he wins by finishing all tasks, some of them he did in the dark.
  • Obvious Villain, Secret Villain: Usually the videos will show all but one of the imposters earlyish in the game, then unmask the last one after the others are booted. This gets subverted in the Christmas Episode, where David is the first to go of the three despite Shiloh and Micah being the known ones... and is the only one subsequently left out of the Dance Party Ending.
  • Oh, Crap!: The group's reaction in the 2 players video when they learn there's an imposter at the Skeld.
Elijah: "What? There's an imposter and there's only two of them?"
    Daniel: "What's he gonna do?"
  • One-Steve Limit: In the Rainbow Friends crossover, the crewmates confuse the colors of the Rainbow Friends with the colors of the crewmates and vice versa.
Cole: Green tried to throw me and Judah out.
Josiah: It's Micah? I knew it.
Judah: No, the other green one. You know, the awkwardly tall green guy?
    Micah: I’m not that tall.
    Judah: THE GREEN RAINBOW FRIEND!
    Josiah: Oh.
Britney: All right guys, let's vote out orange.
Shiloh: Britney, you can't vote out the orange Rainbow Friend.
Britney: No, I just wanna vote out Judah.
    (Judah makes an angry face)
    Josiah: I am so confused.
    • Later, Daniel suggested using the crewmates' real names.
    Mary: They got green!
    Judah: Yay!
    Mary: The HUMAN green!
    Judah: Aw.
Daniel: We gotta start using names, people.
  • Pineapple Ruins Pizza: This was brought up in the Halloween Episode when Elijah finds a pizza with candy corn on it. The group reacts with disgust while also bringing up that pineapple on pizza is no better. Sebastian is implied to be on this side, while Judah and later on Micah are implied to be pro-pineapple.
  • Recurring Character: Several characters appear more consistently than others. Elijah, Micah, Judah and Mary appear in every episode, while Shiloh wasn't present for two videos, Daniel and Britney missed three episodes and Josiah was absent from 2 to 4 as well as the first three from the Airship. Jocelyn, Sebastian, Becca, Sarina and William also have a high attendance record.
  • The Reliable One: Shiloh's characterization is that she is the most reliable deductive member of the team, usually being able to figure out her opposition, doing her tasks well, making more rational decisions and correctly guessing the impostor (or messing up the crewmate team). Whatever her team is has a high chance of victory, unless she's somehow eliminated first. Elijah has also stepped up to this as well, especially when she's already out or gone.
  • Right for the Wrong Reasons:
    • How Josiah gets caught in Episode 5. When he walks into a room and sees candy wrappers on the couch he is surprised. Shortly after Elijah and Judah walk in to see the crime and look at him thinking he committed it. The imposter even lampshaded this.
Josiah: Okay, I AM the imposter, but THIS was not me.
    • During the zombie episode, a meeting is called and Micah insists the group votes out William. At first, this can be excused as him getting paranoid due to the situation. Turns out William was the one to start the zombie infestation and voting him out would have gotten the crewmates a win and turned the zombies back to normal.
  • Running Gag:
    • "RED IS SUS!!"
    • Someone (usually Micah) singing/mentioning "We're the greatest crewmate/impostor." or another of their songs.
    • The crewmates scream when an impostor is revealed.
    • Crewmates and Impostors are thrown away in a comedic manner.
  • Shout-Out: There have been pretty of references to other series within these games.
    • Star Wars has seen its fair share of references on its own, with a scene recreations in the NERF and second duo water fight royale and Josiah getting the Jedi, or rather the Sith, role in the Too Many Mods game.
    • The too many mods episode has plenty on its own, as it features Star Wars, Fortnite, Tangled, Elden Ring and Stranger Things references through some of the roles.
    • In the second too many mods game references to Minecraft, Batman, Halo, Shrek and Beauty and the Beast are made in the same way.
    • In the Rainbow Friends video Nancy attempts this with The Game Theorists channel in a lore filled room, but is cut short by noticing Blue right behind her.
  • Slasher Smile: In the mini-imposter episode, Judah and Jocelyn both sport these as they prepare to throw out Sarina and Bella, the last two crewmates.
  • Smug Smiler: When Shiloh knows that she's going to win, she tends to form one.
  • Spin-Off: The series of videos have been so popular that they've done special episodes, both within and outside Among Us. Examples include:
    • An episode where there is only 1 crewmate (Elijah) and the rest are impostors. And somehow Elijah wins!
    • An episode where there are 0 impostors. Everyone gets bored in the end, and decides to have Impostors again.
    • A Choose-Your-Own-Adventure style where the viewer takes the role of a nameless Cyan and decides the outcome of the game.
    • "If Among Us was Pay to Win" shows Elijah using his credit cards to buy things in the game.
    • One episode features only two players (Micah and Judah), with the former being the impostor while the others witness the action from Mira. Judah still ends up winning.
    • Parodying Mario Kart instead of Among Us, with similar characterization and the same Dance Party Ending in the end. Mario has also been incorporated into a game of Among Us, with everyone involved dressing like a character from the series.
    • A Fortnite version using the Imposter Mode.
    • Four cases of "If Water Fights were like Battle Royales" have happened, once with two teams, twice with nine duos and once with five trios and a soloist playing.
    • They also did Roblox Obbies twice.
    • A couple of videos have Shiloh and Elijah work together in Poppy Playtime to rescue the others, and later Huggy Wuggy crosses over into a couple Among Us games, joined by Kissy Missy in the latter.
    • An episode attempts to portray NERF like a battle royal.
    • Fall Guys got it's own interpretation.
    • Rainbow Friends was adapted into its own interpretation and sequel. They would later face off against Huggy Wuggy in a special Crossover and invade a round of Among Us.
    • Pokemon was given its own dedication to it as well.
    • Brawl Stars had its own adaptation, with Elijah taking the overall win.
    • Chess was done with Judah taking a central role in it.
  • Stealth Prequel: The Project Playtime video shows what happened to the others when they first went to the Playtime factory, ending with Elijah receiving their help letter and calling for Shiloh.
  • Strictly Formula: Downplayed as it can be tampered with, but videos generally feature crewmates getting eliminated until the imposters are one shy of getting a win, then rotating between imposter and crewmate boots until a final three with one imposter and two crewmates. This is lampshaded in episode 7 by Daniel.
Daniel: "Why is it always down to three people? Can't we win at four, or five, or even right off the top?"
  • Token Mini-Moe: Jocelyn, Micah's 'neighbor's kid' that he took care of, is the only young child and represents the Mini Crewmate.
  • Token Super: Whenever multiple roles are announced in a game Micah, Elijah and Josiah have often been the ones who get them. The three of them had all the roles in the Christmas Episode.
  • Zombie Apocalypse: The Zombies episode involves the Crewmates trying to survive a zombie infection started by William A second also happens involving NERF gear, this time being started by alpha Michelle.
