Friday the 13th: Vengeance 2: Bloodlines is a 2022 fan film based on the Friday the 13th series, and a direct sequel to Friday the 13th: Vengeance.

In the weeks following the previous film, Tommy Jarvis is still missing, and both Jason and his father Elias Voorhees are on the loose. The youngest of Tommy's daughters, Ashley, frequently returns to Crystal Lake to search for her father, to the ire of local police. When Ashley is soon kidnaped from her psychologists office, her sister Angelica and her friend Courtney head to Crystal Lake to rescue her, finding themselves and numerous other people on Jason's warpath. On the way, the Jarvis sisters uncover the truth about Elias' plans for Jason and Pamela, setting up the climactic final showdown between the Jarvis and the Voorhees clans.

The film stars Jason Brookes as Jason Voorhees, Kelly Tappan as Angelica Jarvis, and Sanae Loutsis as Ashley Jarvis. It also features returning cast members from Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives, including former Jason actor, C.J Graham reprising his role as Elias Voorhees from the previous film; Jason Lives director, Tom McLoughlin, reprises his role as Walt, the grave keeper from previous film; Darcy DeMoss reprises her role as Nikki, having survived the events of Jason Lives, and finally Thom Mathews as Tommy Jarvis.

Like the previous film, Bloodlines is available to watch on YouTube for free.

  • Adam Westing: Richie Ramone from The Ramones appears as an aged rock-star who gets caught up in Jason's latest rampage. It's unclear if he's supposed to be As Himself, as his surname is never mentioned.
  • Adaptational Badass: Tommy Jarvis (as played by Thom Matthews, who reprises his role), despite killing Jason as a young boy, could barely hold his own when he fought the undead Jason as an adult in Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives. When Tommy shows up here, he's not only capable for manhandling both Jason and Elias in a two on one fight, when he's pretty evenly matched when fighting Jason on his own.
  • The Atoner: Walt, after spending years of covering for Jason and Elias, and forced to kidnap Ashley Jarvis, reaches out to Tommy to help try to bring down Jason once and for all.
  • Asshole Victim
    • Todd is a perverted childish oaf that never takes anything around him seriously. Luckily, he's among Jason's first kills in this movie.
    • Considering Elias Voorhees was a controlling abuser, who originally groomed Jason into being a killer, kidnapped and tortured a young Ashley Jarvis and planned to kill her and the whole Jarvis bloodline, Elias had getting his heart ripped out coming.
  • Badass Family: Both the Voorhees and the Jarvis family.
    • On the Voorhees side of things, Elias is shown to be just as strong and resilient as Jason, and is supernaturally empowered by the Necronomicon. It takes Jason ripping out Elias' heart and smashing it to the wall to put him down for good.
    • On the Jarvis side of things, both Ashley, Angelica and their father Tommy are also incredibly strong and resilient for seemingly regular people. When Jason smashes Angelica's head against his mothers shrine, hard enough to draw blood, Ashley initially thinks Angelica is dead, only for it to turn out she was momentarily unconscious.
  • Back for the Dead: Vikki, who was seemingly killed in Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives by getting her face slammed into an RV's wall. Despite her scarring, she's not in that bad of a shape, when she's caught up in Jason's rampage. Jason later corners and kills her for real by bisecting her.
  • Bad Boss: Elias would initially pay Walt to cover up things for him and Jason, before he starts forcing Walt to do more dirty work. When Walt shows reluctant to do so, Elias is quick to resort to threats and physical harm, such as forcing Walt's hand into the garbage disposal in his sink.
  • Bait the Dog: Elias shows a moment of vulnerability when he discovers Walt made a grave for Jason as a child out of respect for Elias' loss. Elias seems stunned by the gesture...but when Walt's friend, Arthur, cracks a joke about it, Elias breaks the grave over Arthur's head in annoyance.
  • Beauty Is Never Tarnished: Nikki, from Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives, is shown to have survived Jason slamming her face into an RV's wall. While she isn't completely disfigured, Jason did leave her with a noticeable scar. Not that it bothers her, as she seemed to pursue a successful modelling career.
  • Big Bad: Elias Voorhees, following the previous movie, is once again the main antagonist. It's revealed not only did he resurrect Jason as a child, but he helped groom and train him to be a serial killer with the ultimate goal of wiping out the Jarvis bloodline, and bringing Pamela back from the dead. He was also the one who kidnapped Tommy Jarvis in the previous film, only for Tommy to soon escape.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Tommy Jarvis is called in by Walt, letting him know of the situation. During the climax, he shows up as Elias' "church" just as the Voorhees' have his daughters at their mercy, fighting both Elias and Jason single handedly, before taking on Jason with his daughters once Elias is dead.
  • Canon Welding: One of the survivors of the roadblock massacre mentions that she grew up in Haddonfield, hence her unfamiliarity with Jason Voorhees.
  • Defiant to the End: When Nikki is subdued by Jason, she tells him to his face that she'll see him in Hell before she's sliced in half.
  • Demoted to Extra: Robert Thompson, who was a friend of Tommy's supporting character in the previous film, was killed between movies in his own search for Tommy. Ashley finds his body early on.
  • Dragon Their Feet: While Elias is the film's Big Bad, he's eventually killed by Jason in the final fight, when Jason has enough of his father. The fight then shifts between Jason vs Tommy, with both Ashley and Angelica helping their father put Jason down.
  • Dying Declaration of Hate: When Elias realizes his plans are going south and Jason is no longer listening to him, Elias becomes more verbally abusive towards Jason, calling both Jason and Pamela weak, and that he should have let them rot in Hell. Jason responds by ripping out Elias' heart and smashing it to a wall.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: After spending weeks with their father missing and possibly dead, the Jarvis sisters finally reunite with Tommy as they fight the Voorhees'. They see Elias dead, and Jason seemingly put down for good. While the sisters are not sure if Jason is gone for real, they happily leave the cemetery with Tommy.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones
    • Once again, Zig-Zagged with Elias Voorhees. He seemingly cares for both Jason and Pamela, despite having an abusive and controlling attitude towards Jason. His reasonings for committing these murders is both to get revenge on the Jarvis family, and to bring Pamela back through blood sacrifice so they can be a family again. However when things go south, and Elias realizes he cannot force Jason to kill Ashley, he starts belittling Jason for being "weak" like his mother, and dies cursing them both.
    • Played more straight with Jason and Pamela. Along with Elias, he is on board with this killing spree both to avenge Pamela, and commit a blood sacrifice to bring her back. When their plans go south and the Jarvis family is reunited, Jason prioritizes making sure Pamela's head is secure on her shrine. Despite this, Jason refuses to kill the last Jarvis because she is still a child, even if it means his mother won't come back.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: As usual, Jason refuses to kill children. He isn't above fighting a twelve year old Ashley when it comes to it, but when she's subdued for him, Jason hesitates to deal a killing blow, even with his father's orders, and even believing doing so would bring his mother back.
  • Eviler than Thou: Jason's father Elias is a lot more cold hearted and ruthless than his son, and possibly even his wife. A brief flashback shows Elias groomed Jason into being a killer shortly after his first resurrection, and Elias is not only far more willing to kill children - a line Jason and Pamela wouldn't cross - he will torture them, as he does with Ashley. When Jason has enough of Elias' controlling attitude, Elias gives both Jason and Pamela a Dying Declaration of Hate.
  • Feuding Families: Like the previous film, this movie sets this up between the Voorhees and the Jarvis family. The final battle is between Jason and Elias Voorhees vs Ashley and Angelica Jarvis, their father Tommy.
  • Forced into Evil: Walt, an aged gravekeeper at Crystal Lake's cemetery, is forced to do dirty work for Elias Voorhees. Initially paid to help cover up Jason's continued survival, Elias eventually resorts to torturing Walt into kidnapping Ashley Jarvis. Eventually, Walt has enough and approaches Tommy to inform him of the situation, and gives him the means to seemingly defeat Jason for good.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: Elias Voorhees states that he got his power to revise Jason from the devil himself, and that Jason is later described as being the devil's puppet, with Elias pulling his strings.
  • Hate Sink: Todd, a childish, rude and perverted oaf who spends most of his screen time being annoying to the rest of the search party, and spying on the girls in his party. Luckily, he doesn't last for long before Jason gets to him.
  • Immediate Sequel: Downplayed. It begins right after the epilogue of the previous film, however there's a small time skip of a couple weeks.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Richie initially appears to be a washed up rock-star, sharing crass jokes at the expense of his bandmates. But as soon as Jason's rampage starts, Richie goes out of his way to try to rescue numerous people caught up in the rampage. When he meets Angelica Jarvis, he joins the team to rescue her sister, claiming to be a friend of Tommy's.
  • Last Disrespects: While Tommy is busy fighting Jason, Ashley takes a moment to destroy Pamela's head as another show that the Voorhees Jarvis blood feud is finished.
  • Little Miss Badass: Zig-Zagged with Ashley. She becomes considerably more rebellious in her search for her father, often venturing into Crystal Lake's former campground to find him, and avoiding encounters with Jason. Everyone thinks she's Just a Kid who is in over her head, especially since a search party for her was butchered by Jason. When she's later kidnapped by Elias, she initially acts like a Defiant Captive before he begins torturing her. It's only when she's found does Ashley start to fight back against Jason, along with her sister. Ashley not only holds her ground despite her age, she keeps Jason and Elias at bay by threatening to destroy Pamela's head; a threat she makes good on.
  • Logical Weakness: Walt approaches Tommy with the same metal spike/lightning rod that was used to accidentally resurrect Jason as a Revenant Zombie, believing that because it was used to bring him back, it can be used to destroy him. While they don't know for sure, it seems to do the trick, when Jason is impaled with it and struck by lightning.
  • The Man Behind the Man: It's quickly revealed that Elias was always this to Jason. Not only did he resurrect Jason as a child, he trained him from a young age to be a killer and, telling him it would eventually resurrect his mother. Later, the Jarvis sisters realize this as well, outright stating Elias has always been pulling Jason's strings. Eventually, Jason has enough of Elias verbal abuse and controlling attitude, killing him for belittling him and his mother, before continuing his attack on Tommy Jarvis.
  • One-Man Army: In the roadblock sequence, Jason single handedly slaughters scores of people, despite the officers attempts to hold him off. All they really do is slow him down.
  • Papa Wolf: Tommy Jarvis. After escaping Elias Voorhees, he's apparently been in hiding, waiting to strike back against the Voorhees'. When Walt approaches him and informs him of the situation with his daughters, Tommy immediately goes to their rescue, fighting both Elias and Jason to save his daughters, before fighting Jason himself when Elias is dealt with.
  • Police Are Useless:
    • Despite, Jason and Elias being an Open Secret, and still on the loose, the local police are not much help in tracking them down, or finding Tommy Jarvis as a missing person (to be fair, Tommy was in hiding at the time). When Ashley constantly sneaks into Crystal Lake, Deputy Forster sends civilian search parties for her, and blames her when they get killed.
    • When Ashley later gets kidnapped, not only does a police roadblock hinder Angelica's attempts to find her sister, but it puts dozens of people in the way of Jason's warpath. On the upside, one of the officers correctly guesses that Angelica is being lured into a trap, but when he joins the search, he doesn't hold any better than the rest of the group. While Deputy Forster does ultimately help find Elias' church, and helps fight Elias at first, he doesn't last long due to Elias' supernaturally enhanced strength.
  • Spared By Adaptation: Nikki from Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives is shown to have survived getting her face smashed into the wall of an RV, albeit not without having a scar on her face. Though she later dies sacrificing herself to distract Jason.
  • Took a Level in Badass: In the previous movie, the Jarvis sisters didn't see a lot of action and were more passive investigators into their father's disappearance. This time around, Ashley openly ventures onto the former Campgrounds on a regular basis, narrowly avoiding Jason. In the film's climax, both sisters fight Jason head on, both being resilient enough to hold their against Jason despite his strength. They also pin Jason down and allow Tommy to finish him off.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: While "Villain" may be stretching it, the previous movie shows Sheriff Realotti as being a hot headed Jerkass who covered up Jason's murders, and his own involvement in Jason's original drowning. Towards the end of the film, his funeral is shown among the others Jason and his father killed over the past few weeks, during which Tommy gives Realotti a eulogy. It would seem that as far as everyone was concerned, Realotti was an upstanding pillar of the community.
  • Virtue Is Weakness: Mixed with Love Is a Weakness. In Elias' Dying Declaration of Hate, he accuses Jason of being weak for caring more about Pamela's shrine than sacrificing Ashley. With his plans going south, Elias declares Jason and Pamela weak (for not crossing the line of killing children) and that he should have let them rot in hell.
  • Would Hurt a Child: What separates Elias from his wife and son; Jason would never kill children, and this was a standard shared with Pamela. Not only is Eilas willing to hurt children, he expects Jason to kill twelve year old Ashely Jarvis as part of a blood sacrifice. Elias also tortures Ashley to find out were her sister is.
